You 'looked him up'. So you've found a few highlights and think he's a satisfactory trade for Bentick.

He didn't ask for a trade exactly. He asked the club's permission to speak with other clubs due to a lack of opportunities so far - but his request was denied and he was told he is a required player.

How is he perceived out West. I've seen him play a few games and have come away unimpressed - goes missing for far too long and doesn't have much of a presence, though he does look decent in patches. Seems to be a slightly better version of Hartlett.

He's definitely rated higher than Murphy amongst Freo fans - not that that's saying much.

Connolly, for reason only known to himself, never gave him a fair go. Kiwi would kick bags in the WAFL, be brought in for one game then promptly be dropped straight back. Harves gave him his first extended first team run late this year and he responded with the best form of his career.

He's probably never going to be a superstar, but what he does give is a guaranteed crash and bang physical presence up forward. He runs in straight lines (through those in front of him if necessary), has a decent pair of hands and a beautiful long kick for goal.

The other thing to remember is he only started playing footy when he moved to Australia aged 16 so it's no surprise he's taken a while to come on.

Adam Campbell is a gun... watch him mature into the focal point for freo if he stays... he will take the limelight away from Pav... I really rate him and he is right to think he deserves more oppertunity!!!

Dean Soloman was begged to play for another year, Kepler Bradley is their backup ruckman, Andew Browne has played 27 games in 7 years and has to be retained and the less we say about Chris Tarrant the better

Lets just put it this way ...around the club his nickname is not 'Lucky'

I realise he has had plenty of injuries and is a real goer but sometimes you just have to cut your losses

The point here is that he will retain his spot on the list because of what has transpired in way of retirements

Freo won't be able to delist anyone this year because they have too many spots to fill

Making a stand at this time and refusing pick 24 seems strange given what is happening in the next few years

Swap Connolly for Pagan and you have a similar situation with some of our young players who are just starting to make an impact now 14 months after the departure of that glove puppet...

He probably just needs a good long run in the side, even if it starts off sitting on the bench and then pushing for a run on spot.
