Hehe.

Re: GP
No one liked it when it was here in Adelaide (ok slight exaggeration but there were plenty who wanted it gone). But then when it was gone everyone was bitter about it. I wouldn't worry about it anymore, most people have long forgotten about it now.

That is laughable. As far as the teams go, they prefer Adelaide. There were not many people who wanted it gone. I knew the GP boss of the last year. There were a few tossers that wanted it gone for their own benefit.

If the smell of success is the same as dogsh.t, then yep you can really smell the success. The irony is that soon Port Adelaide as a suburb will soon be full of Crows supporters as the area is cleaned up and the property prices rise, but don't worry we'll let you visit when the toilets need cleaning:p
That's fine, as we Port devotees are quickly colonising large chunks of the south and east as our success attracts the ' well to do's ' and the kids in developing areas see the light.

Ones with good looking chicks, and not too many blokes, especially blokes who like to fight. Preferably one where hte music isn't up too loud, i ahve a habit of yelling a lot when i drink and it gets worse if i can't hear myself talk.
Seacliff Beach pub would fit this bill then. Some damn hotties in there.
Same with the Grange Hotel, and the Arkaba if you like the older type.

Ah, you are all experts on the airport now?
The ATC tower doesn't need to be any taller... they have a good view of the grounds. They do a lot more up there than just look at big flying things.
We don't do our own ATC here, just ground control and sign off.

Yeah I spose you're right, it doesn't need to be very high to see over the roof of the tin shed.. I mean airport terminal. Same thing anyway.

As far as the teams go? OK, show me some teams or representatives of teams saying they prefer Adelaide. I think you'll be hard pressed

Hot women? You're joking.
Gothic, heroin addicted bush pigs is a far more accurate description.
Jenny Craig rejects is another one.

I'm getting the feeling you visited Moe and called it Melbourne

You could start by reading Murray Walker's autobiography.

Look - you can argue the merits of Melbourne vs Adelaide all you like, but it is basic knowledge in the motor racing world that the decision to move to Melbourne was purely a business deal and the teams, drivers and crews prefer Adelaide.

The planes take off in the other direction. Or use the other runway.

You really are an internet mouth aren't you. So angry, yet so adorable.
TP can tell a lot from a cropped down photo, can't he? :D Starting with "oh, look, there's only one runway!"

Still, I suppose when you haven't travelled much you can be excused for drawing wrong conclusions about faraway places...

hahah I will tell you what I do notice though.... the Air traffic control tower is about 20 feet off the ground.

Please tell me you're not serious. The air traffic control tower is not in that photo. If you can't tell the difference between an advertising billboard and a control tower your eyesight is clearly ruined from all that time you spend sitting in front of the computer on Friday and Saturday nights.

PS. I've seen Perth airport. Enough said.

I think there are more pubs per capita in Adelaide than any city in aus.
Sydney is so far ahead on pub density that you would be embarrassed to say that. Every second building is a pub, and the others are former pubs.

HAHHAHAHA u losers trying to attack the airport and houses around it etc without even knowing what the ******** ur talking about. HHAHAHA u crack me up. U just dont know HOW THICK u come across.

You would get a better view of planes from the bonnet of some blokes car..... and what about the runway.... what the hell happens if a plane overruns the runway as has happened several times... and in fact happened to Qantas not so long ago.... it would plough right into the houses. Talk about Hicksville. Those houses wouldn't fetch more than $10000 on the property market... imagine the noise of a 747 as it basically lands over your house

Not that I really care as its an airport ffs  but that photo doesnt even show the air traffic control tower  If you think that it is near the carpark and with a big bloody billboard covering it then you are sadly mistaken and I fear for the residents of Perth if thats what your towers look like.

Of course Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane would have a bigger airport, they get more traffic and have a bigger population, common sense really. We had posters having a go at us because we said our airport was bigger than Hobarts but was then shot down because its like comparing our feet to a 6 year old but then someone else piped in having a go because Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane have a bigger airport??? Same bloody arguement isnt it?

Total package you accuse Adelaide of not keeping up with the times. Western Australians just voted not to extend shopping trading hours the most backward in Australia.

I read some time back that in fact Adelaide does have the most pubs, per capita, in Australia - in relation to the old (and now inaccurate) "city of churches" description.

Seriously, who gives a crap? Couldn't give a ******** what the airport looks like where I land, as long as the planes fly. All this 'our runway is bigger than yours' crud is unbelievably pathetic.

Seriously, Australia has a lot of wonderful cities, compared to the congestion, corruption, crime and ugliness of many of the world's cities. I haven't been to a capital city in Australia where I haven't enjoyed myself. But most important is the company you keep when you go there - good people make for good times.

I went to Perth once, but it was shut. But seriously, you are going about this all the wrong way, was long as trolls like Total Package think Adelaide is a poor place to either live and visit then that is good; ask yourself do we really want people such as them to come here?
Maybe there control towers need to be 5,000 mtrs off the ground, good on them, but we have "electronics" and "radar" in ours so the actual watching of the planes out of a window really isnt necessary.
On a sidenote, Melbourne only has the GP until 2010, then we will see where it ends up; I believe that they have also lost the first GP of next season, that should tell you something isnt right.

I toured there with my band last year.

Best place we found to go was a place called 'Crazy Horse'. Was on the main street south of the mall.

Well worth a visit.

I'm glad someone is going to it. Bernie Ecclestone, Frank Williams, Eddie Jordan and Max Mosley aren't. ;)

We arent having the first GP because unlike the ********hole cities around Australia such as Adelaide, we have many world class events. Sometimes they need to be moved to stop clashing. We cant have the CommonWealth Games and the GP in town on the same weekend. Nothing wrong, it will be back to rd 1 in 2007
