Well heres the story.

A couple of months back me and my mates were at a party, bout 50 people or so around a bonfire sinking piss. We drove my car to the party and I wasnt drinking as I was the designated driver.

Anyway I was hell cautious with my keys as I didnt know that many people there and didnt want my friends forgetting to lock my car and shit getting stolen out of it.

Anyway one of my female mates comes up and asks for my keys to get her jacket, she was sober so I gave it to her and I ended up forgetting that I had lent my keys to her.

Anyway whats happened is that my chick friend has given the keys to my drunken mate cuz he said he was just gonna get his jumper out of my car. He ended up taking off in my car, doing skids and shit and crashing it into a tree, damaging the bonnet, bumper, headlights etc, approximately 2 grand damage.

Anyway he was sorry and shit and said he would pay for it but as he is in year 12 and didnt have no money till he got his tax back i would have had to wait a couple months.

Anyway just recently I wrote the car off after I had already bought a 400 car for spare partys and a 200 dollar bonnet ready to help repair my car when he came up with the money.

I am now not sure If i Should.

A. Hit him up for the complete 2 grand worth of original damage.

B. hit him up for 600 bucks for the car i bought and the bonnet plus all the ____ing around with phone calls and running the risk of yellow sticker and shit like that.

C. Forget about it.

What do you guys recon?

Keep in mind he made me lie to his parents about what happened and i had to tell them I crashed it instead of him.

Cheers.

Let Carbonaro know that his rampant alcoholism, his flagrant sexual abuse of women, and his unnecessary need to show off his old fella wherever possible has lead to this incident occurring, and wouldn't have happened if he'd taken your advice and undergone counselling for his rabid hatred of the Indigenous population of this nation.

As such, put a switchblade to his throat, and let him know you're not messing around, Carbs knows what's at stake and will soon pay up for his misdemeanours. Whether or not he'll acknowledge his anti-social behaviour and constant racist banter as a problem, is up in the air. But I fully endorse the idea of pulling a switchblade on him, if only to teach him a lesson.

Good luck with it.

Puts Carbs in a bear trap then.

Nothing hammers a message home like metal clamping down through flesh and bone in the blink of an eye.

drunk or not, he obviously didnt care about you when he took your car out doing stupid stuff, so make him pay, maybe then he'll learn not to be such an idiot

Make him pay the lot.

1. he showed no respect for you, driving your car drunk & in a reckless manner.

2. Either way he was committed to pay for the damage, even if you decided to burn it, drive it off a cliff or give it to a bum he crashed the car before you did.

3. If you had to loan money from a bank or the like to fix it would they have let you off the debt because you or your mate crashed it? No. So apply the same principle to him.

But you also need to take into consideration the friendship. If it is likely to damage it you need to ask yourself what value you assign to the friendship. Is it worth risking the friendship? If you decide it is not worth it then just get him to pay for the costs already incurred & move on.

Yeh i punched piss out of him that night don't you worry

Hit him for a new set up fluffy dice and call it quits.

He'll have the cash... you know that scene in The Castle......

If you would have written the car off anyway, I would just get the $600 as that would put you in the same position as you would have been in had he not crashed the car. Add some extra because he was a douche.

hit him up for some cash.

when i was 17 i wrote off my best friends mum's car. I got into alot of trouble including having to go to court. I learnt my lesson, never drive your friends mums car when you're pissed and when the police find you, don't play dumb about the accident you caused and certainly don't make up stories that a phantom guy caused the accident, that's when the web of lies you've created come back to bite you.

Kids need to learn these lessons.
