Tomorrow will be the first time in a long time that I will be forced to watch a North match on an hour delay. Either i'm at the match or it's on Fox.

How the hell do I manage to stay away from Facebook, Twitter, BigFooty, Fox Sports news or any other way of knowing the score, as in my life I don't think i've ever done it successfully. All the excitement of the game is just sucked out of it.

I'm thinking it's just going to have to a case of me sitting in front of the radio for 3 hours.

Simple AGC............turn Amish!

I'm in the same dilemma, and have decided to run for an hour without headphones on, then watch the delayed coverage whilst muttering profanities about the AFL and ch7 as I watch.
 
How do you think I feel :( I generally work through our games so I have to stay away from social media for like 4+ hrs lol, its difficult.

Any suggestions of some stream sites to hit? Moved house and don't have foxtel anymore - am trying to set myself up to stream more games.
 
Download TVUPlayer, tune into Southern Cross and don't watch it on delay. :p

At 2.10pm chain yourself to a bench in front of the TV with the remote and all other devices with internet access just out of reach. Make sure you don't have the key.

Have friends ready to help when the match finishes or else there may be problems.
 
I might as well listen to the North Melbourne and Hawthorn game live on the radio than watch it in delay on 7 with so many ads with final siren timed on 5.59 and then it goes straight to the news. Shit game coverage by ch7 and why isn't the game live?

Excellent free choice - works well. Im in New York at the moment and will get out of bed to watch the game on my ipad.
 
It is not illegal as you are just tuning into a FTA transmission and you are watching the ads and other crap.

At least next year every game will be on Foxtel live.

Beats flying 24hrs each way to catch a few games every year.

And TVU isn't great unless you have a massive line to the inner tubes.

Going by 7 and Fox Footy into Qld OUR game is NOT ON Live!!! Effing Bris v Adelaide is on BOTH. :thumbsdown::thumbsdown::mad::mad: The $100's swear word!!:mad::mad: I'm hoping some moron as made a boo boo and I will check Main Event but can't see it happening. Anyone of my fellow North fans in Qld know if I'm correct?

and speaking of 7 - what sort of clowns do they have working there. Did anyone catch the morning show today and on the running sports result at bottom of screen they had NRL" Carlton v...blah blah - for at least 3 of the AFL games. Turkeys, Morons, Ar$eholes. I am sooooo pi$$ed off with incompetancy at these networks. grrrrrrrrr. :mad:

This shit happens regularly in WA. A few times a year Dockers or Eagles games are on FTA and Fox at the same time, and our game is then shown as a delayed telecast.

I've decided the angst ain't worth it; worse things happen at sea etc. "Why complain? No-one's listening!" seems to sum it up unfortunately.
