What a moronic post.
Oh boy wowee. Ok, I'll bite.

Orourke was a number 2 pick. At most other clubs he would have been given more games due to this fact - GWS didn't need to because they already have 10 players who are of the same quality as him. On the open market he would have to still be worth a top ten pick.
Phil Davis. Has done nothing at GWS to suggest that he is worth a first round pick in terms of value. One season he conceded the most goals of any defenders, i.e. his direct opponents dominated. Gws may have been the worst side by a mile but he had a dreadful season. If I would value his worth I would say second round pick.
However, given that Orourke only took pick 19 from the Hawks (most likely due to the fact they had nothing else to give, or were willing to give for that matter) when as I have suggested above he is worth a top ten pick I'm going to add another ten places on the worth of Davis which, low and behold, slides him outside the value of our second round pick.

Now who's the moron?

Maybe Merrett and Cameron both met with the Power?

I just cant see how Port would be able to get a deal done to sign Cameron. They are invested in Ryder and dont want to give up players. We will find it hard enough to get a deal done let alone them.

Still you.

If the Griffen/GWS deal involves Cameron coming to us at all, I think it will result in Jenkins going to the Bulldogs along with something else.

This is what I posted in this thread a while ago. I believe it still holds here:
Trading Josh Jenkins - Why?
Look at a potential forward structure, look at him as a player, look at his awareness as a footballer. Yes, he is new to the sport. Yes, he is definitely developing. But yes, the other clubs are seeing this.

I look at a lineup involving Walker, Betts, Lynch, Cameron etc and I do not see a surefire spot that he would take a hold of. Not to say he never would, but structurally I don't think he fits and to attempt to include him would unbalance the midfield setup. He cannot ruck adequately to what the club would demand of him. He is not the combo ruck/forward the club is after to support Jacobs. He may have a hell of a ceiling, but at what cost for everyone else?

"But wait, why would he even accept a deal to leave?
" The guy is immersed in American culture. From NFL, to NBA, to any form of sport in the states. He grew up a basketball fanatic and player. He would have at least thought about when he got to that age to assess how his future would look. Professional basketball is never safe. Players can be traded at the drop of a dime under contract. A lot of players thrive in it. I believe he would have seen this enough, and would understand why it may happen in the AFL. His value is a LOT higher than it should be. Akin to reports made in this very forum about his efficiency, his value is overly inflated to the point that cashing out now to me is the smartest choice. Combine him with something else and you could get something special. Heck, even on his own he would command some coin right now to a team that requires a sit-at-home forward. I believe the time is now for him to get the most for himself, and for the club. It would be a strong, strategic move that I believe is a win/win for both parties. He is a professional just as much as we are a professional football club that should be making the best decisions possible.

This comes even more through as Walsh has stated he would like a second ruckman. I do not believe he would have a guaranteed 22 spot if Cameron does indeed come in. So I think if he comes in, Josh will surely leave. Not on bad terms at all.

All we need is Jez Cameron to get on trade radio and request a trade to us.

Now, normally, this would be a pipe dream, but the Fagan/Walsh/Ricciuto/new AFC factor has completely swallowed me in. Hell, I've started believing in Santa Claus again (and I've got kids).
