Ok I'm absolutely convinced that the time to go after Aish is right now. With the massive player movement in Brisbane at moment they will offload at the moment but good chance to have a more settled line up next year, and also Aish have an Ollie Wines-esque second season. Port are focused on Ryder so they're out of the equation for a homecomine.

Crows are most definitely interested - I have discussed this with Ogilvie in the past. They would love to bring him home. Are they trying to get him home now? I don't know.
I know Aish's manager was meeting with the family today or yesterday to discuss his options going forward and what he wants to do (he said it on TWR)

I hope we are using every avenue available to us to let him know we are keen because sometime I feel the club just ask, the player says no and then the case is shut closed. I hated the decision to take the easy soft road and sack Rendell, I mean move him on due to his issues was always a F'ing stupid move and was probably for me the straw that broke the camels back for caving into the AFL but thinking along those lines that he knows our targets hurts us badly.

To me, apart from the fact you couldn't turn him down anyway, James Aish is just the sort of player we need. He's not an exclusively inside mid and even though he doesn't have super legspeed his disposal is divine and reliable aswell as exactly the sort of composure we have none of.
