One of McAsey, Borlase or Worrell needs to be shifted forward for the rest of the season starting next week

Worrell is the one IMO as he is in no man's land down back
Himmelberg out never to be selected again at AFL level, Murray to replace him up forward, Frampton replaces Murray down back.

Has Murray done anything as a forward at any level of football? Genuine question. I know he PLAYED there, but not well enough to be drafted.

Any stats or info from today?

He competes well, has a good set of hands , and isn’t slow. If he doesn’t take the mark he’ll bring it to ground for rachele rachele and Rowe

I guess that's all the forwards are offering currently ...

Exactly what we need down there currently, can take a pack mark and split a pack wide open.

With the GIANTS naming just 10 AFL-listed players, a number of Academy players got the chance to impress with Western Sydney’s James Peatling showing promise off the half-back line.

Fellow New South Wales product Nick Murray – the brother of Collingwood’s Sam Murray – kicked three goals during an impressive stint up forward.

“Nick’s played most of his career down back and we decided to put him forward as we know he’s a big body who loves to fly and attack the contest,” Schnieder said.

“He did that for us and had four shots on goal kicking three, which was great to see for a young guy playing his first official NEAFL game for us.”

GIANTS 1.2, 3.4, 7.5, 8.7 (55)

Brisbane 6.3, 9.7, 12.10, 15.14 (104)

Goals

GIANTS: Murray 3; Hill 2; Idun, Bonar, Dunkley 1.

How many of our Key Forwards launch themselves at aerial contests like Nick Murray can?

Atleast if murray is up forward there is less chance his brainfart decisions and stupid cute kicks will be less damaging..
He's undersized for a key defender and his decision making is terrible (terrible) for a back man.
Right now he is the best option we've got but surely Borlase or McAsey have to be slotted into that role sooner than later.
Can Murray play forward? Well if he can't I see no long term future for him in our team.
We really need to recruit a legitimate tall back man next year or this mid season draft if there is one.
One of many glaring holes we have in this squad.

Report now on AFC site.
A little worrying that our listed players scored only 7 of our 17 goals!
Is it though ?? From a team perspective that's a great thing.

It is, if you're mainly worried about developing young listed players.
For example, TT was seen on the ground and has received no mention! (I've no idea on his TOG, though.)
I do wonder whether pumping up the top ups has a nice benefit for them ?? Team harmony and all that.

I've got little doubt our listed players played well.... We won by 10 goals.

Why is it a worry?
Lewis and Templeton are both Talls and obviously played forward. Only AFL forwards that played were our smalls Murphy, New church and McAdam who all got on the scoreboard. Report says Berry and Hately were dominant in the midfield, Berry hit the scoreboard as well. Report said Frampton, Borlase and McAsey were impassable in defence. Thilthorpe is the ??, would be handy to have some info on his game.

As they should be, Port have no decent talls in their reserves forwardline

Thilthorpe's game is obviously the one everyone would have interest in, strangely no mention? Let's be honest you would hope he would have dominated at the level.

Nicks said he had an outstanding game in the post match AFL presser

Of course he wasn't actually there to see it and would have had virtually no time to be briefed on the match either
