Based on this week and a few short/medium-term injuries (Perryman, Chapman, Keath, Flynn, Hollands…reckon I’ll have somewhere between 26 & 28 playing next week).

No doubt injuries will bite at some stage.
I’m going ok-ish. Parker, Macadam, Weitering, Howe alol out at the moment, but all should play plenty this year.
Clarry gamble paying off (touch wood) Grundy looking good.

Edit - Lord out indefinitely now too

No injuries but I did pick Jimmy Webster the ****stick. At least he was a late pick.

B Nick Vlastuin - Alex Pearce - Nick Blakey
HB Jack Sinclair - Jake Lever - Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera

R Lloyd Meek - Connor Rozee - Zach Merrett
C Hugh McCluggage - Stephen Coniglio - Brad Hill

HF Cam Rayner - Jack Darling - Jade Gresham
F Cameron Zurhaar - Josh Treacy - Mabior Chol

I James Rowbottom - Willem Drew - Conor McKenna - Dayne Zorko
S Patrick Lipinski

E Jamie Cripps - Dougal Howard - Tom Cole - Rhyan Mansell - Aidan Corr

Retired: Angus Brayshaw
Long Term Injured: Tom Lynch
Not Getting Games: Andrew Gaff, Ned Reeves
Fringe: Dylan Williams, James Harmes

Looks like I've selected about 28 first choice players (29 when Lynch returns)

Pretty happy with my early selections of Rozee, Merrett and Blakey and I reckon a few others are a chance to score well (Sinclair, Vlastuin, Wanganeen-Milera)

Stoked to take Treacy in round 28, Zorko in round 30 who somehow is still doing okay, and a few other best 22 types like Cole and Lipinski late. Even Aidan Corr, who SUCKS, is getting games

Not overly enthused with my forward line though. I thought Lynch might get injured, Darling might not see out the season, Chol isn't that good (though I picked him late so that's okay). Treacy has done really well. Zurhaar okay, but not heaps of scoring power

Selecting Brayshaw and Lynch in the first third the biggest misses for me

I like my Jake Waterman at pick 448 selection - but a lot of the rest are absolute rubbish.

Hitting on a few of my top end selections. Serong at my second pick justified, Gawn back to his best, Hogan looking incredible etc

Barely any ‘value’ selections, though. My best is probably Mac Andrew at 294, I guess

I was feeling pretty good about Elliot Yeo at 311 until he limped off on the weekend

Only stretches so far are the kings imho, especially Ben. I know he is very promising, but I can’t see that’s he’s ever had a top 10 bnf or Coleman?

It seems to be a popular opinion that Ben is the better twin, but I'm yet to see it. In 2022, Max finished 6th in the Coleman and had an injury-impacted season this year.

Really though, after Curnow, Cameron, Larkey, Tex, Daniher and Naughton, there isn't THAT much left in terms of KPFs, and I'm banking on Max to kick 50 goals with a fit pre-season. Heck, if he can kick straight, he might be a chance at the Coleman.

Guess we'll see. 23 yo came back from injury to kick 40 in 20 games. Better coach and improving midfield. I see a guy about to break out but could well not.

Still a fair way to go in the season but feeling pretty good about this one so far. Third in the Coleman, only two goals behind the leader. Multiple goals in every game except against us.

Max should be so much better than he is. Then again, it's hard to have an impact as a forward with Ross Lyon footy.
