We have some pretty dcent young talent on the list now. We have a lot of talls but from the youngsters (under 21) none are really genuine KPP. More of a ruckman types who can play forward.

We need to address this possibly next year. Lets hope Gibson and Obst come on well.

Then if we could pick up a Jonthan Brown or Matthew Pavlivh to come to Adelaide then ur lists is perfect IMO, Then we will have the best backline(same as last year) one of the best midfield in the comp and one of the forward line that contributes week in and week out, we have Hentschel, Perrie, Welsh and McGregor, and Brown playing up there, How good would tha be?
Adelaide wouldprobably be unstopable

This has been a problem for years but I feel currently our forward line has a lot going for it. I hate the one dimensional forward line and prefer the way we have the three forwards working in tandem. It works really well I feel and has a lot ot do with our successs last year. Craigy seemed to use a lot of the benefits of what we had rather than dwelling n the fact we dont have a p******ch type in the forward line. I do agree with the fact we need some younger crop but dont feel we need to trade our life away for a mature key forward. I would hate to see us kicking to one player all the time. Teams with that seem to get shut down easily and really it is boring to watch. Bit like my post to read!!!!

everyone keeps going on and on about how we need a really key forward - a key forward is about as hard to find as a career AA full back (hang on, we've got one of those ;) )

I am happy with our structure in the forward lines, I can agree that we need some more output and consistency from them all, but we had one year with it and it seemed to work. Case in point is that in order to win games you need to score more than the opposition and I remember that we won a few games last season. Now that we have a full preseason to work some more on the set plays etc and the good thing about those guys - mcgregor, hentschel, perrie, welsh are that opposition teams need 4 decent tall backmen to play on them. How many teams have that?

To me it is more about a decent crumber/small forward that is needed. There seems to be some possibilities that we picked up in the draft that could help in this area.

I feel Knightstick could help in the small crumbing forward department

Yep, I agree mate. We could play Stiffy there as well. I'd like to see him in attack a bit more next year.

What’s that Perfect or Port Power?

And recruiting J Brown  is not going to happen (see W Carey argument)

Chris Knight is a good option for a small forward role but I would love to Johncock stay in defence with Andrew Mcleod.

would like to see Chris Knight and Nathan van Berlo play between 13 and 18 games next year.

Andrew Mcleod and Graham Johncock running of a half back flank will allow Ben Hart, Torney, Bock, Freddy and Truck to keep that defence tight and stingy like it was last year. (I know that is 7 but Neil Craig has a history of playing a few extra behind that ball doesn’t he).

I agree. Actually I will go as far as to say this COULD be the best our forward line has ever looked. We have one potential A class forward in Trent and 3 very good B+ forwards. Very hard to match up on.

Trent Hentschel has to step up and become the number 1 forward next season or at least show that he can dominate games on a regular basis. We know what Perrie, Welsh and McGregor will give us but the wild card is Trent.

Flexibility is the key to that forward line and improvement from Hentschel will allow greater freedom for the other 3.

Correct Stiffy. I reckon our list looks the best it has for quite some time, with the only major concern being our KPP depth.

We still haven't got the player to cover Bock of he goes down again. IMO it wasn't losing the Roo against the Aints it was losing Bock, meaning Kenny had to play back. Same problem exists. Unless the club feels someone such as Meeson, is ready to play forward to cover Kenny if he is needed to play back.

Think Knights will be in the midfield rotation off the bench, Stiffy as another small forward and IMO Porplyzia to start his AFL career as a small defender.

Yes ........Watts would have been that option your talking about.

Well we have to hope Stevens steps up (he is talented you know) and don't forget Griffen who may surprise and definately has the mobility
