We had 6 AFL listed players playing in our WAFL side yesterday. All of which are either late draftees from last year or coming off an injury of their own.
Literally playing whoever is available at this point and if this is the best you have then you’re not making finals
Wouldn't mind seeing them play Bazzo (2021 Draft) back in the 1s and there's no point having Hewett sit out a round. But, you are right. There's not much coming through.

West Perth kicked 34 goals against West Coast 2s yesterday. It's pretty grim.

Haven't watched all game but Howie has misnamed Ollie Henry as Brad Close at least 3 times. They look nothing alike, don't even have the same hair

Probably about the right result: disappointing lapse from the Cats from early in the third to early in the fourth, but Eagles supporters would be justified in being filthy with their effort from halfway in the first until half time. A bigger percentage boost and a couple more goals to Cameron and Hawkins would have been great, but I'll take an eight goal win, thanks.

Hats off Cats, still a superb side.

Proud of how us Eagles are performing this year. Each week we have a quarter where we get outclassed or let too many through, but we've fought out each match regardless of scoreline despite contending with injuries and fatigue. At least with this 2023 team you know you'll get some value and spirit each week. Geelong outside Perth has mostly been a horrorshow this past decade, a competitive quarter and one-way procession, and whilst it was heading that way at halftime we kept them honest enough in the second half, even got within sight of three figures. Keep it up boys!

Reckon that 850 k a season is giving him a very comfortable break
God do you always have to troll
Why don't you give us some of you insightful comments instead of your negative troll comments

No WCE fan mines Yeo getting paid good money (his op was debilitating}
McGovern that's a different story his last 4 years have been crap except for 5 games last year
where he was amazing, but a mil a year for a guy that lucky to play 15 games a year
This wont even play 5 games
I would happily trade him or force him to take a free agency offer

Much respect between the two clubs too.
You can see the Geelong boys feel what you're going through.

Stengle will be a big loss but it now gives Henry an opportunity to elevate his game in his absence.

Still, it's alarming the drop off by the Eagles.
I think most expected lean years ahead but at times, they almost look like a WAFL team thrown into the deep end.

Probably the worst 2nd quarter of the year followed by a decent 2nd half. Showed a bit of the intensity required at times and didn't get pumped by 12 goals like last year. Cat's did enough in the 2nd quarter it was pretty even in the 2nd half. Cat's have still got it talk of their demise has been exaggerated.
