In the annual pre-season media poll every ‘expert’ had St.Kilda bottom 4. Some (including I think Caroline Wilson and Sam Maclure) has them bottom 2. Unlikely to be a genuine contender this year but based on the back half of last season most Saints fans and others with any idea had them pegged as a 6-10 side, not a 15-18 side.

On another note, JH-F is a seriously good footballer. If he doesn’t play today St.Kilda win by 8 goals.
I didn't predict saints for bottom 4. Too many experienced players to do that.

Maybe at worst 14th like demons last season or dockers in 2023 with 10 or 11 wins at worst

A lot of people underestimated their list. The guys like Sharman for example.

The saints are the 3rd youngest. they had 10 players who played 10 or less games

Yeah what is with the pro Port commentary....I thought the commentary was supposed to cheer on the under dogs. Oh well suppose they have no influence whatsoever so who gives a shit other than the Saint supporter sitting at home nervous as all get out lols.

Even the bloody AFL website’s wrap-up for the round just covers JHF’s game !.

Amazing as the Hornet’s game was, we’ve only beaten Port in Adelaide once this century (or close to). Would be nice to get some kudos for that.

Anyway, fck em, we got the four points.

I can't wait for Kane Cornes to focus on the great game from JHF rather than the great game from St Kilda on the Agenda Setters.

At least Nick Riewoldt will be on there with him to rub it in and to keep him honest, it will be a must watch episode tomorrow night

Many picked St Kilda to finish bottom 4 while I had them challenging for a finals berth in the 6th to 10th area of the ladder. It wasn't pretty but they held their nerve and got the job done. Should be a great game vs the Giants at Norwood next Sunday.

Gws in a canter for mine. Nothing against the saints. But I think a very average Port Adelaide made the saints look like world beaters. I don't think the saints will be the last team to beat port at home this year.

A lot of uproar over JHF throwing the head back when he got tackled by Hastie but what about 2 different incidents: 1. Where he got tackled and threw the head back when it was around his chest and then collapsed his knees trying to make it look like he had been pulled down even further? 2. When he was involved in a pack tackle on the ground and threw this fist in and made contact with Wanganeen-Milera’s face. If the entire St Kilda Cheer squad could see it with an unobstructed view surely one of the chUMPs could or even have it on camera

lot of anger from the power fans with the team play and obviously this ludicrous 'farewell Kenny' coaching handover.
Stronger clubs would of walked him by now.

2025 is effectively written off before it even started with this ridiculous decision. But the fans aren't protesting that hard as we still have strong membership numbers.

Re point 2. St Kilda are still obscure, can hardly blame the umpires for missing that when the whole clubs been invisible for 60 odd years.

Trying deflect and making comments that aren’t relative. You must be the top viewer of Big Ken’s press conferences. Not surprised, club doesn’t know who’s coach or who or what the club actually is, filters down to the supporters too I guess
