If Tuggeranong beat Eastlake or Belconnen I will eat my own sh*t...........on second thoughts, they might beat Eastlake so can I have salt on that?

You do realise you can edit stupidity from this thread??

You could be eating sh*t by the end of this weekend:)

C'mon Tuggers do it for the rest of us!!:thumbsu:

How many top up Rookie List Swans will be playing for the Hawks this weekend?

So which players will be the big improvers? Who will struggle and who will win the mulrooney & GF? Time to speak before the season starts. Let see who really knows their stuff? IMO:

Big improvers - Ainger, Ghobrial, Rice, Dickinson and Cavedon
Mulrooney - J. Bennett
GF - Tigers v Belconnen - Tigers to win.

What about Harris Ains Rogers East (no ____as will have the forward leadership role) York Belco

Tips for the opening round:
Magpies by 10+ goals against Ainslie - Magpies are too professional for an Ainslie team that may take a month to get to know how each other plays.
Eastlake in a close one with the Hawks - less than 3 goals in a scrappy game. Don't be surprised if the Hawks upset the Demons!
Sydney by 5 goals against the Tigers - too much fitness this early in the season.

Anyone care to comment?
OO big turnaround needed from hawks for this to happen lost Miles Murch and a few others talk about Ains with all new players needing to Gel hawks with top ups and new starters in same boat plus turmoil of bungled merger.Intersting to see how they handle all of this.

elaborate dead eye. so who are the guns n new guns of the comp to be looking out for this yr?also seen myles kicked 7 from the midfield playing for zillmere in qafl, not a bad effort.standard of the comp a bit lower up there or he just that much above the rest?

Thought Harris from Ainslie could be a big improver in what looks to be a stronger Ainslie side Hughes ex Kangas listed player.Thought also that Rogers would have to have big season for Eastlake out of the shadow of former forward leader now retired.York has a couple of years behind him now and has been a solid contributer, could go one step further and become a team leader if not already, lot of big names at Belco.Look for Dickinson at QBN plays second fiddle to Jaques, could possibly be first ruck at most other clubs.

Believe the Tigers have secured another recruit - Andre' - new born to Mr and Mrs ABH. It may be a few years before he dons the black and gold but if he becomes as good as his old man, then the Tigers can look forward to an exciting time down the track.

As good as his old man at what??
I seem to remember his old man being quite good at a lot of different things:thumbsu:... Not necessarily sport though:o

I thought about laying low a bit this season but f--ck that: My predictions are: Belco over the little rich boys by 4 goals. Think the Demons are in for a bit of a shock down Greenway but will win by 5. Out at MDO, the Tigers are sure to give the Swans another strong game and YES, ABH - to celebrate the birth of your child I am going to pick >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>the Tigers in honour of Andre'

Thanks FIM, nice to have you back!
I hope your right but I think that some of the Tigers maybe a tad underdone for this one. It will take an almighty effort by the boys to get home. Not mission impossible but maybe not this time. They will beat them and I can see it happening at the right time of the year.
As for the other games I believe the Pies will cream the TriHards to again be the "Dicks of the North" and I hope and can see Tuggers beating Eastlake in 7 degree heat down at Arctic Pk. Do it for itktm, so he is left with a nasty taste in his mouth!!

According to the Canberra Times today, Ainslie have at least 13 new players in their team so they may give the Belco boys a shove. Interesting to have Mahery say they want to be the first to beat the Swans Reserves in three years. Obviously he doesnt respect the Tigers chances tomorrow against the Sydney Syders !!!

Back in town just in time for round one. Pumped about today. Sunny 20 degrees, a few beers in the sun out at Ainslie and hopefully the boys smashing up the Mercs to get the ____ of the North back in the cabinet.

Swans are ripe for the plucking but I know the Tigers have had an interrupted pre-season. WOuld be awesome to see them get done over though.

And Maher wanted to be the first team to beat the Swans this year (as per todays Cbr Times). Perhaps concentrating on winning a game might be on the cards first !!!!

Ainslie, with so many new good players had to be in with a chance. Looks like their spending spree is going to reap dividends for the Shrek and his merry men. Must be nice to have so many $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to get out of the shiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

Cmon FIM, sounds like sour grapes to me. All clubs excluding Tuggers offer good coin for players. You cant tell me your club didnt splash out big cash for some of your new recruits. Ainslie have and will always spend more than most but it hasnt helped them the past 10 years. Things turn in cycles and maybe its turned their way?? or maybe Belco aren't as good as you thought?? Either way its been a very long time since Belco has lost 3 straight season proper matches. They will bounce back...too many good players on good coin not to!

Ainslie just too good. Belconnen were poor though - couldn't hit a target, some of the worst field kicking i've seen, let alone the 10.24 or whatever the final score was.

Ainslie will be a dangerous unit once they gel a bit more as a team.

Good to see my reverse psychology worked with the mighty hawks getting up. Also great to see so many of you jumping on line on the weekend to remind me ! As the great Chevy Chase once said, "It takes a big man to admit he's wrong.....I am NOT a big man".

Now, does anyone have any salt out there? ABH, I am sure you would be happy to help out, or are you still on the piss at the tigers club after todays big win?
