Haven't seen this brought up on BigFooty recently but AFL.com.au have got a Brownlow Predictor page up on the site now that uses Champion Data rankings to predict current votes.

Most blokes listed here are in the betting market favourites (between $5-1 and $20-1), except:

  • Cunnington who is still $200-1 on CrownBet.
  • Pendlebury also still at 40's.

Go ahead and piss your money away on Cunnington.

He is far and away the best player at North this year, missed an entire quarter yesterday and still gets 3 votes.

North have the easiest run home of any team so $200-1 is massive overs, especially now that betting agencies offer Cash Out on market movers.

Yesterday.

Joe was instrumental early on the game yesterday when we got on top and pretty quiet in the second half. Wouldnt be surprised if he gets 3, but also wouldnt be surprised if he misses out completely and the votes go to zaka, merrett and hurley.

I'd say it's very rarely correct. Pendles good value, the smart money would be on Bontempelli, Dangerfield and Martin though.

I had Zaka, Hurley and Heppell as my top 3. Joey and Merrett behind.
but the 2 were certainly up there so i imagine the umps noticed.

Zachy has a brownlow in him. Only a matter of time. If the season continues on the current even tilt its on, this could be a bloody tight brownlow year.

Cunnington isn't the type to win votes in my opinion. Outside of Priddis and Mitchell, players who aren't flashy don't tend poll well. Cunnington just isn't the eye catching type of player that the umpires tend to notice.

Danger, Fyfe, Ablett, Cotchin, Swan, Bartel etc all are noticeable when watching the games. They stand out. Cunnington doesn't...

Cunnington isn't flashy?

Not many players can bullock at the contest and fire out 30 metre handballs to release a runner. He is also the best exponent of the don't argue other than Dusty.

Don't get caught up in the dairy farmer look he gives off, Cunnington has plenty of flair and uses the ball as well as any other midfielder.
