Conversely, if it was Carlton on the plane, how long do you think it'd be before anyone noticed that they weren't actually putting players out on the field?

dont say things like that! The last poor sole that said something similar on a public website ended up being drafted to Carlton the next year! Think Id rather be on the plane than drafted to Carlton

After a tragedy of that scale you would think the club would sit out of the rest of the season, with an adjusted fixture for the rest. And then be treated like a new club in the draft?

No idea. I wonder if this is a contingency plan they have?

I am surprised, therefore, that the AFL does not fly Qantas
