I can see Crows picking a tall (Curtin) to go with his brother at pick 46.Would be a crazy tall forward line if that’s the case. Crows need smalls and pace rather than talls. Wouldn’t be messing with the mojo Thilthorpe had this year either, about as functional a forward as there was this year.
Doubt it's Curtin, I think it'll be a proper ruckI can see Crows picking a tall (Curtin) to go with his brother at pick 46.
so think with their first round could go mid or small.
someone like - , Greeves, Farrow, Dovaston, Hibbons-Hargreaves
There would be plenty of SA guys around their first pick which would be tempting too - Phillipou, Barker, Marsh, BOB, Sumner-Pickett, Le-Ray
My only concern with Sharp is not Sharp as a player, but what his development will look like. When will he be able to play in his preferred position?
Will he get midfield time over Parish and Tsatas over the next couple of years?
If he doesn't play well in a second position, will he be playing VFL? He's a dominant inside mid, but he's unlikely to play there for at least two years, meaning he will be selected based on his scoreboard impact.
Don't get me wrong, I really like Sharp as a talent and for his leadership, but selecting him requires us to be more flexible with how we approach our midfield mix. A flexibility we haven't demonstrated with Tsatas or Hobbs thus far.
Robey, Cumming and Taylor can play AFL relatively early in their preferred positions. I don't have much concern about their ability to develop in our system.
Sharp could be elite at another team with guaranteed midfield spots, but will he reach his potential with us? Not sure.

Yeh Sharps ready inside mid straight off the batMy only concern with Sharp is not Sharp as a player, but what his development will look like. When will he be able to play in his preferred position?

5 on the bench helps develop players with low ToG much easier. Any ready made draftee with ToG concerns can easily slot into the 5th bench spot now rather than wasting away as a subYeh Sharps ready inside mid straight off the bat
Lower TOG% but hes ready
Back to VFL if not performing
cox was never the size and shape cdt is.
if he gets there, think Barker goes before that pickBased on the setterfield comments,
I think with pick 22 (if we keep) it wont surprise me if we take Harley Barker and place on the LTI allowing us to pick up Setters in the PSD
Extremely likely aif he gets there, think Barker goes before that pick
Yes.Do you mean Cody Curtin?
Thought he sounded like a gem earlier this year. I wouldn't be unhappy if we took him.
If this actually happened I’d burn down AFL house. Highway robbery
Richmond would be pawning off one of their picks for Robey without a doubtSay you take Dursma + CDT then Triger go Taylor/Grijl
A Robey/Sharpe pairing is very possible to be on board when Essendon drafts.
Would be shocked to see farrow lasting until 15 though

its too early to know. North could.Melbourne would be stupid to give up 8 and a future first that is probably top 6 for Robey.
Is Robey even top 10 in the open draft last year? Next year?
Only trade i see happening for the live top 6 is if richmond trade 4 for 6 to pick up a second off Essendon which is just free for them since they would've taken the sizzler anyway. It's the Geelong trade to secure Caddy all over again.
No one else is going to blow 2026 draft currency on this years draft, maybe Calrton would've if they didn't have Walker to worry about it.
The thing with Sharp is he is basically built for inside midfielder and is far more advanced than Hobbs or Tsatas to do it at AFL level. Hobbs never developed and Tsatas does not seem to be able use his speed which was one of his assets. Then there is the fact that Sharp has played some footy forward in the SANFL and has shown he has a bit of lead up forward ability. My only concern with Sharp is not Sharp as a player, but what his development will look like. When will he be able to play in his preferred position?

He's been playing with the new rules....Im concerned Sharp doesn't have the outside speed and kicking game needed for the current way AFL is played.
Since all these new rules came in, pure inside mids aren't as effective.
Code sport has run a phantom draft based on industry knowledge.
It has us taking Schubert and Sharp with 9 and 10. We also trade 21 and 27 for 18 and 36 with GCS.
We then take Oskar Taylor with our pick 18.
A name I'm unfamiliar with.Schubert
No thanks to Schubert. Makes no sense going after him with our listCode sport has run a phantom draft based on industry knowledge.
