Waiting on this 2nd patch to see what gets cleaned up or added. I really hope they fix up the constant throwing the ball frees. It really hurts the game as it doesnt seem effected by user input.

Also, does anyone else struggle to commit to career mode? I just played a full season with North Melbourne, traded in Josh Kelly & Jack Billings, but I have no desire to keep playing, instead I want to try another team.
I would just play a regular season but there's that issue with the teams.
Season mode is shithouse anyway. Play a whole season and don't even see Brownlow/Coleman medallists and B&Fs. Pissed me off big time when I stuck it out, rather than start a career, just to see who would win the Brownlow. Also, does anyone else struggle to commit to career mode? Couldn't be more wrongStill think they should have just replicated Live 1's gameplay mechanics with the added things like dribble kicks, taps etc
Was a lot smoother and free flowing. Although it doesn't currently play like modern footy (obviously because it's a 2011 game) it feels more like modern footy than Evolution.
It's almost like Wicked Witch just watched a whole bunch of clips from the 90's and thought 'ohhhh so that's what football is'
I've also only played it maybe 2 or 3 times since the patch because they broke the game imo
You get called for throwing the ball when it's clearly a handball. I also can't stand how long it takes to kick. If you let go of the kick button in Live it was disposed of instantly. In Evolution it seems like you have to have at least 5 meters of space when you let go which is quite pathetic and frustrating
I mean it's the basics of the gameplay. From memory wasn't that their most important goal?
It's sad that a 2011 game still plays better than a 2017 game

Evolution is the best representation of the sport of footy in a video game by a mile and is probably the first game that truly plays like footy (Live 1 was just too 'clean', dropped marks, fumbles and tap ons add a beautifully realistic layer of scrappiness to Evolution)
Evolution 2 could really be a breakthrough moment for afl games if they're able to implement modern tactics (spare man, zone defence etc)
I'm glad both games exist!
This game looks like a lot of things, but AFL Live 1 isn't one of them.If this game was $50 I'd consider buying it. But watching the way it plays and looks on YouTube, it looks exactly like AFL Live, the game that came out in 2011. No way am I paying $80 or $90 for that. To the bargain bin with you.
Anyone know how to save line ups in compretition mode? I shouldn't have to keep changing it every game
Hopefully that'll be something they'll fix in the next patchAnyone know how to save line ups in compretition mode? I shouldn't have to keep changing it every game
