Yeah I reckon there's some kind of Ai confidence/momentum system and I think that plays a part in some of their shocking missesI love creating a play, looking like I'm in strife in my defensive half..... only to create some run and do a few link up hand balls. I get excited almost like watching it happen in a proper game.
Figured out the Xbox One DVR stuff, I recorded the grand final end game sequence, it's just a matter of trying to get it to upload at some stage.
I started a new coach career - these are my two first JLT game results:

You'd think I was in control of the game looking at the score, but I wasn't. Just got a lucky good start in the first quarter... well first half, but Geelong made it look so effortless going from one end of the ground to the other. While I had to work super hard to score. They stormed home in the final quarter, when they kicked the super goal I was like OH CRAP.

Got demolished in the first half, I barely touched the ball in the first quarter. In the second I started to get the ball more often, but would often get my attack stopped on the wing or just on my 50m line. Got my mojo back in the second half, not sure if it's the programming or just run of luck in terms of finally getting a lucky mark.... but I've noticed when a team is on... it's harder to stop them. I finally hit the front with 2 minutes to go (about 40-60 seconds of real time left ?). Kicked the sealer with just seconds remaining and celebrated.
It was also very windy, the heaviest I've seen in the game - made set shots almost impossible (got lucky twice - the rest of my goals came from handballs to someone in the goal square! all but one of my behinds were set shot attempts that sailed away. The other behind was rushed).
I know, but slagging it every single day, shows you just have some sort of personal hate for them. We already know you hate the game, why keep going for? Just play another game and do something with your life. When AFL live 2 was absolute crap I just stopped playing it, simpleSorry, is this the positive reacts only thread?

And yet the first criticism of AFL1 is always "it's a tacklefest." Which it isn't if you get good at the game. The gameplay isn't a mess at all, the game actually plays quite well and feels like real footy (have to differentiate between shit gameplay or being shit at gameplay)

For me, AFL 1 is still a far smoother gameplay experience. Evo has moments and features that are better than Live 1 for sure, but given the choice of the 2 I'd still take Live 1 at this stage.I've wanted to ask this question for some time...
Do you prefer Evolution or AFL Live 1 so far...
It's a tricky one for me...
I like that in AFL Live 1 kicking a goal near the boundary was pretty seamless and it was very much contested football, often difficult to break away and find space, but it got really good after a few weeks of practice, the gameplay was pretty darn good, i guess Live 1 is more a lo-fi version, but it was a pretty good game and still holds up pretty well...
Evolution is probably too early in it's life to make a judgment just yet, but it has some things that other games don't that are nice...

Easily EvolutionI've wanted to ask this question for some time...

I love when you can pull this shit off sooooooo smooth
Live 1 was a either a tackle fest or you won by 100 points every game on hard
Easily Evolution
I loved Live 1 when it came out and without it I don't think evolution would as good as it is
But Evolution is just miles better and really feels like footy (Live 1 was close but Evolution nails it in every regard)
Add to that the number of game modes where I go to play the game and actually have to divide my time up between coach career, mens pro, online and AFLW pro
A nice transition play..
Its an issue because I payed $100 for a game that one mode can't be played and the other i can't save mid game so can't play either. To say not an issue can be patched is a bit of a stretch considering currently is an issue and there was a day one patch and not addressed then no guarantees will be in future. May be in to hard basket heres hoping its notWhy can't these things be patched? What is an issue in the game that can't be patched?
Just out of curiosity, and as an aside, has there actually ever been a game you've ever liked?
I do need to work out an effective kick-in strategy though.
Is there anyway to play on from a kick in after behind and not get tackled immediately? Basically my only option seems to be a torp straight up the guts.
I just don't get it, like what were people here actually expecting?
Most games shipped unfinished. I can't remember a game that released and then didn't have a patch released thereafter. The game shipped unfinished.
I've still got my copy and will keep it, but when you pay good money you expect a finished product.
like yourself who seem to think the sun shines out the arse of incompotent australian sports game developers
I've been critical of WW since AFL2 came out, the absolute joke of a game that was led me to believe that this wouldn't be too great either, but WW have been fairly in touch with this forum and social media for a while now and I'd assume they would be aware of issues in the game and patch them accordingly. I don't think they will turn a blind eye to the game now that it's released. Its an issue because I payed $100 for a game that one mode can't be played and the other i can't save mid game so can't play either.
