You've just got to laugh at those returning the game already when most of the issues found will be fixed with a patch.

Point is that they shouldn't have been issues needing a patch immediately on release.

Already said in this thread but DLCs encourage developers to rush out products before they are ready to grab cash and fix issues in a psych or DLC.

I just don't get it, like what were people here actually expecting?

What is this statement even supposed to mean?
we get it , you don't like the game, what i don't get is, if you don't like the game why don't you just get up and play something else or do something else with your life? you're here legit everyday making some dumb sarcastic comment about the game. Why would you spend so much time on something you don't enjoy doing

Two things I was expecting was one being able to simulate till next time on field in be a pro mode or control the team. Ive upgraded stamina to full still no change makes this mode unplayable. The other thing I was expecting was ability to leave a game and pick it up were I left off seems like a massive oversight.

I'm new so excuse me if these issues have been discussed to death.

That's not hard.

Is it a big step up from AFL Live 1?

I'm not sure... For sure, it looks prettier, but the gameplay seems like a bit of a mess.

Say what you want about the excessive tackling, AFL live 1 was at least a well-balanced game and was super fun online and still a bit of fun against the AI.
The gameplay isn't a mess at all, the game actually plays quite well and feels like real footy (have to differentiate between shit gameplay or being shit at gameplay)

Evolution is the best AFL game by a mile and yes it has problems (what game doesn't) but very few of them actually affect gameplay and none of these problems are stopping you from playing a great game online

Why can't these things be patched? What is an issue in the game that can't be patched?

Hi all,
Good to see people exploring the game and letting us know their thoughts and comments, positive, constructive or otherwise! Special thanks to those that are giving the game a chance and supporting us, it goes a long way.

From reading through comments in various locations here and other places, we can see many people are not installing the Day 1 patch before playing!

This patch is a MUST for the game as it improves gameplay, and fixes some important bugs.

Furthermore, it is a good idea to delete save game or start a new career after the patch is confirmed as installed, as save games may have bugs saved within them.

Also, if players are seeing *censored* names, please ensure every controller that is connected is signed in, and that the sign in profile is set to over 18.

We hope this helps and you have a great weekend learning the game and exploring the modes and options.

Lastly, we are collating the feedback, and hope we can bring a patch to address any concerns, major and minor, in the near future!

cause it's BRAB , it's what he does.

Is it possible to play possession footy in this game? Haven't had much of a chance to play it yet.

They should add "Would you like to ignore BRAB?" as the second option during registration just after you choose a username

You wrote a post about patches, and i am showing you what Wicked Witch posted on their FB page about future patches..
I wasn't questioning whether or not they would patch the game, I'm asking people why they don't think WW will release patches in the future. Taking the game back after 3-4 days is stupid, at least give a few weeks to see how WW responds.

had a group of mates over yesterday to play. we did our own random draft and then moved the players around accordingly.

- Playing with mates definitely makes the game a lot more entertaining
- Bumping while in the marking contest is a vital part of the game

-The biggest negative we had, is we had to set the teams up for every single game which took about 10 minutes each time. we were hoping there was a 'master' team lineup where you could put all your players in position and it would save that as your lineup so it may only need minor tweaks.

note: we were just using existing AFL teams but a heaps of players were swapped in and out.

there were some awesome bits of play with great link up handballs, which generated a lot of excitment when it resulted in goals

A nice transition play..

I love creating a play, looking like I'm in strife in my defensive half..... only to create some run and do a few link up hand balls. I get excited almost like watching it happen in a proper game :D.

Figured out the Xbox One DVR stuff, I recorded the grand final end game sequence, it's just a matter of trying to get it to upload at some stage.

I started a new coach career - these are my two first JLT game results:

You'd think I was in control of the game looking at the score, but I wasn't. Just got a lucky good start in the first quarter... well first half, but Geelong made it look so effortless going from one end of the ground to the other. While I had to work super hard to score. They stormed home in the final quarter, when they kicked the super goal I was like OH CRAP.

Got demolished in the first half, I barely touched the ball in the first quarter. In the second I started to get the ball more often, but would often get my attack stopped on the wing or just on my 50m line. Got my mojo back in the second half, not sure if it's the programming or just run of luck in terms of finally getting a lucky mark.... but I've noticed when a team is on... it's harder to stop them. I finally hit the front with 2 minutes to go (about 40-60 seconds of real time left ?). Kicked the sealer with just seconds remaining and celebrated.

It was also very windy, the heaviest I've seen in the game - made set shots almost impossible (got lucky twice - the rest of my goals came from handballs to someone in the goal square! all but one of my behinds were set shot attempts that sailed away. The other behind was rushed).

Yeah I played the game with my brother in law yesterday. Local multiplayer minimises a number of issues identified in this thread. We both had fun.

I won't be returning it because I have waited too long for a current gen console AFL game to be released.

But for the sake of the game's development I hope the AFL tips in a fair amount of cash and in kind contributions to support the developer and give the developer a budget that is a bit more than an indie game budget.

If the AFL is serious about e-sports then it is a no brainer investment to make.

You can edit current teams in the team manager section so that you don't have to change it every time. I don't ever have to edit my team online now which is good although the same process doesn't work for tactics for some reason.

easy mode is easy but marking is still so bad. normal mode is unplayable. clearly not worth 80 bucks but i'll enjoy it for what it is

Sorry, is this the positive reacts only thread?
