This sort of game will almost never go on sale.Return, and buy it again later in a month's time when it's in the $30 bargain bin at EB.
Hopefully WW will have patched the myriad of bugs this game has that make it near unplayable by then. Hopefully.
Saw a comment on there from my mate who works at EB asking if it's taking into account the mountains they've had returned this week. EB must hate AFL games. They get badgered and badgered, sell shitloads, then have to give all the returners their money back and probably cop a little bit of lip on top too.I can't believe ww actually bragged about being #1 selling game in Australia!?
Its afl!! Of course in the first week it is!!!
How about mentioning the things they promise to fix not just a "there will be a patch"
Now is not the time for acknowledgment surely

All very good to hear, I've enjoyed RLL, Lacrosse and DBC so I'm looking forward to TennisOff Topic:
We have Lacrosse, Tennis, RLL4 in development, amongst some other things... we're as busy as!
I acknowledge the posts above in that DBC17 was perhaps too ambitious in scope, we shouldn't have attempted as many "world firsts" as we did (cross platform sharing {PC<>PS4<>Xbox} for stadium creation, logo creation, etc.), we have been working for months getting it to be all that we want it to be, and what it should have been for DBC fans, there have been daily patches for the past two weeks for the Steam version and there is a Console version of those patches imminent.
Freo16 everything is on target, tennis, nor anything else, wont' be pushed back because of the extra efforts on DBC17.
BTW while I'm here, for a free iOS/Android game, search for our first ever mobile game, BBL it's hit 3 Million Downloads!

Yeah bit of selective fact sharing for sales obviously. I feel sorry for your mate people should be happy they have a no questions asked return policy of a week i think its awesomeSaw a comment on there from my mate who works at EB asking if it's taking into account the mountains they've had returned this week. No they said if they make a profit they will do a second and who knows what will be covered in the first patch. Could be something minor? Saying you will release a patch for a game released with so many downfalls is not a redeeming factor its almost a given surelyGee, how terrible of them to celebrate that...
they said they will do a patch then a second one..
As are $100 games to buyPatches are costly to put out.
Yep was thinking the same thing
It's probably been pushed back while they fix DBC
Fingers crossed it hasn't been canned cause there hasn't been a new tennis game for ages

Will be interesting to see what the publisher situation ends up being with tennis, I remember something being mentioned about EA saying no to DBC so perhaps one of the big guns might bite at a tennis game
The pathetic train just keeps on keeping on at WW. Handball/tap and mark/spoil involving the same button is just completely unbelievably stupid. 'if we do an enhancement patch'.........I mean wow.View attachment 369757
#Enhancementpatch
Remapping the tap button. Revolutionary and will require the game to turn a profit.
How much $ will it take for you guys to do another afl game?Off Topic:

Why recriut them then ?Ok so. I have just finished my first coach season and overall enjoying the game but there are certainly a lot of things that need fixing up. Had to bump level up to hard late in season as normal became too easy. Most frustrating thing for me on hard level is the amount of times the a1 intercepts handballs which make a running game hard to implement. It almost make a boring kick to kick fest the only safe way to play. Anyway lost the big dance by 3 points and then bumped management level up to legend hoping this would make player trading etc a lot more realistic. Sure resigning your own players is hard enough ( greedy f****ers ) but then came the trading part: Managed to pick up Buddy ( on traded for Jeremy Cameron ) , the Bont, Alex Rance and Eddie Betts in my first trade period all in return for my first and second round draft picks and a bunch of fringe players. This is the most disappointing part for me as I now have lost enthusiasm going into season 2.
Anyway overall a good effort from WW. I think this game has a lot of potential and with a few patches and fixes it will be the best afl game to date.
If you're suspended during the final round of a season you literally can't progress in your career. That's a pretty ****ing game breaking bug. I also never said there were games that don't need patches. I said there were plenty of games that don't have GAME BREAKING BUGS. Can you read? It sounds like you're on the Wicked Witch payroll.you still haven't named a game that hasn't required a patch after release mate
also please define what a game breaking bug is for me, this game ain't great- there's issues with it but i wouldn't be throwing in the towel just yet
I'd take that bug over the consistently deplorable umpiringI really miss it when the AI player in Live 1 would stand there and do nothing when taking a free kick from OOB On the full, until the umpire would blow play on and it's then a throw in. How bout trying to keep the ball in when with 15 meters of the boundary. Players momentum would always run OOB. This new game has its flaws but there are also many improvements. So **** Wil Smith!
