Can we stop spreading this false narrative?

They already said they are currently working on a patch to fix bugs...

The expansion patch they mentioned was in regards to adding more features to the game based on sales.

TBH the game could have done with less feature creep (as it probably has too many modes as it is) and focused on getting the gameplay spot on first. It is still enjoyable as a competitive experience against friends locally though... not rapt on the vs AI modes.

Didn't offend me in the slightest mate. ;)

I'm assuming at this point that people coming into the thread (these are the ones who haven't returned their game to EB) are looking for the correct info. Let's roll with the facts of what we are told.

The facts are that they came out and said remapping the handball button so it's not the same as the tap button or vice versa would only be done in an expansion patch.

That's just one example. Anything that isn't a "genuine bug" won't be addressed until we buy more copies of the game.

Dodgy as.

Its a non issue if people bother to learn the game. You have never even played yet you are full of opinions. :rolleyes:

That's just an example to illustrate that anything that's not a pure bug will not be addressed in the patch that they are releasing in the near future.

I have played the game.
 
Wow hasnt this thread slowed down! 2 weeks....3 pages! I assume that means everyone is enjoying the game hopefully!

It has it's moments, but the game is broken af! I play it because I'm bored of NBA 2K and was playing that for a long time. Even when I'm in front, I still turn the game off because it's broken and quite shit.

I'm with you on the bored of 2K bit. All those early patches have ruined it, as have those who spent money buying the VC to max their players.

At least AFL Evolution has yet to be ruined by a myriad of patches, but just one would be nice....
 
Seeing a lot of gameplay where it looks broken as in the midfield.

Looks fine going into and out of 50, but in the middle, the ball bounces around like Wii Tennis.

Also some handballs hitting their teammates when they're facing the wrong way and tackled.
 
Does anyone have any idea as to when to bump in a contested mark? Half the time I get the mark but the other half i get an animation which puts me out of the contest?

Smart boy, you turned the commentary off.
 
Just got sacked for the third time in three seasons on legend difficulty (9 wins, 11 losses, 2 draws really sackable for St Kilda with Nroo injured?) There's a reason why games have more than 4 difficulties Wicked Witch. I either play another 22 games on legend but don't actually get to play a career mode, or I romp premierships on hard.

Let's all sing kumbaya and pretend the marking isn't broken once you learn how to do it (Membrey has 99 marking, strength and balance because of the broken training system that turns all your players into demigods)

Just got the Locket End trophy - kick more than 1360 goals. Pretty sure only one person had it before me cos it went from 0.1% to 0.2%. But also very sure the trophy is glitched I doubt I have kicked that many goals

I hope they don't change this. I like the fact you don't get a clean possession every time but it also rewards you for waiting for a clean pick up.

I know in season mode you can do a fantasy draft button is there any way of doing it for coach mode so can watch your kids grow and team change
 
This game is really good, playing it a lot, has a lot of potential with future updates. Finally a modern game that kind of does what you'd expect and what you wished for to some degree.

In regards to the commentary, if you turn it to 100% the theme is "comedy", they've turned most of it into humour, and some of it is so bad that it's good/brilliant, and what i mean by that is, they've made the lines memorable and cringey, where as a predictable commentary wouldn't be as memorable and it sort of works in a self-satire kind of way. Dennis and Richo are kind of self parodying their commentary and the result is a fun experience, though a few lines are very tacky.

It would have been better had they got Bruce or BT in there though for a full throttle AFL vibe..

But they now have a good base to upgrade for future releases..

Hopefully they do this instead of constantly rebuilding new games every time.

We've never had an AFL game that simply gets updated.

We all know that in a perfect world BA would have held onto the rights and 2-3 upgrades by now...

But Evolution is pretty good to be honest and it's a lot of fun to play..

Played a game yesterday against a custom team. Turns out they wear the same jumper as north. The most confusing game I have ever played.
