I'm just happy with the new difficulties. Hopefully Very Hard isn't too much of a step down from Legend.
, even Legend can be too easy sometimes! Need a new difficulty Ultra Legend or something.Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the game and it's a massive improvement on Live 2really???
i think what it means is that different people might be looking for a very narrow angle on what an AFL game should be like and good luck to the gaming company that can please everyone..
i've been playing it a fair bit and i kinda like it now, though there are some very annoying bugs and things that need improving and commentary errors, there are also some quite impressive features considering the depth of AFL as a game and the amount of moves that can be programmed into animations.
by the way i came into Evolution after being a one-eyed AFL Live 1 fanatic and complete skeptic of this new game. They seem to have learnt a lot from analysing Live 1 and added some of their own cool new features that i enjoy, so it feels a bit like AFL Live 1 at times and at other times it feels new and then in the forward line running to goal it feels like AFL Live 2, but it's still enjoyable. I see a lot of potential, but i think a lot of money has to go into it for it to reach very high standards of sports gaming and whoever is responsible for investing in the game, i hope they realise that future investment is very important.
Exactly my thoughts. The game was fine and only the major fixes were needed. I hope they haven't over killed it to the extent we see the opposition kick only 2 behinds for the game and 20 goals. I like the fact that they're changing the advantage rule and holding/throwing the ball rules. Advantage was always the one though, having to lock onto the player running towards the ball when the advantage was called to have them all of a sudden pull back and run away from the ball just so the opposition would pick up the ball to have the advantage taken and then tackle them.I just hope they don't OVER fix the game - for example, sure fix the accuracy for lower difficulties...... but it might go from one extreme to the other ALWAYS miss to NEVER miss. Same with the holding the ball calls, yes it's annoying being caught holding the ball on our side........ I'd like the occasional tackle I make to be holding the ball...... but not EVERY tackle (I enjoy moving on to the next contest, running on to the now loose ball etc).
7.5 min qtrs in an AFL game
It seems there really is a god
Mate if that's been your biggest grip then you're doing well.promising stuff, but I didn't see anything about the camera being zoomed further out on kick-ins, which is my no.1 major gripe
That is a lot to look forward too
My two major gripes were AI inaccuracy and no interchanges, so I'm really interested to see what they did to that
Also 7.5 minute quarters sounds perfect for me
Those not 15 metre kicks have been fixed in the patchMy two biggest gripes (having held off on career mode etc until patches) were defenders coming off their man even when tactics were set to defensive leading to easy chip-over-the-top goals, and the broken advantage rule. They're both being fixed so I'm rapt.
Third biggest gripe would be those unstoppable not-even-15m marks the AI does all the time. I don't recall seeing that being fixed in the patch notes unfortunately.
Or to have the away team run out first hahaI can't believe its taken 20 years to make an AFL game with 7.5 minute quarters.
Those not 15 metre kicks have been fixed in the patch

Glad that they're listening to feedback, the patch looks amazing!
leaked dates say 22nd or 23rd of juneNow after this massive patch, the PC release should be around the corner.
