Unless it's a good bloke, in which case Ling doesn't think they should miss games for anything less than attempted murder (see Hodge v Wingard's head v goalpost last year).

Not even a good bloke.

Gotta love it whenever 'Hodgey' or some other sniping campaigner does something dirty & the commentators play it down. If some pleb steps out of line just a little you get McAvaney, Ling or Leigh Matthews of all people acting like it's the lowest act they've seen in footy :D

Think they'll go down the road of more player renders this week or show us something a little more "revealing"

I hope something different, like an in-game screenshot but I honestly don't think we'll get anything this week.

Let the storm calm before they release something else? Guess they did get a fair hiding on the ol Facebook about their recent video

Maybe a couple of renders over the next couple of weeks. Another video of some sort in 2 or 3 weeks, but probably nothing to do with actual gameplay for at least a month. Just my guess.

Was thinking the same. Wouldn't be surprised if they did do a few renders from the teams we haven't seen yet. Keen to see someone from the Crows. Either, Sloane, Tex or Eddie would be a main choice

Yeah my thoughts exactly. All that build-up for what we got and it seems most of the feedback hasnt been positive. May as well stretch the next reveal for a while.

So as you can tell with the horde of Westhoff goofy expression pics, I've been playing AFL Wii. I gotta say, the ball physics are more spot on compared to Live 1's predictable bounce and balloon spinning ball physics. So if they can bring that to Evolution, that's a big plus. They also need to drop the slow pacing, that does kill it, but as they've said, they're going to imitate what Live 1 did right. Hopefully, it's the fast pacing they'll implement.

Bring over a similar camera to the one in AFL Wii also as it managed to capture both down the ground while also not having to worry about the quick spin to face the goals of the team in possession

As long as WW avoid the ridiculous tackle fest that Live 1 was. I played some recently and if you aren't first to the ball you'll pretty much always be able to chase down the ball carrier which makes it difficult for the Ai to have any decent chance of scoring

I didn't see the "tackle fest" as a problem, because it mirrors real Football. I always worked around it, to the point I can create a chunk of free space. My favourite part is doing the switch in the back line, which opens up free space, thus goals. Just like Port use to do well back in 2013/2014. I believe Big Ant emphasised the tackling since it's a challenge in The AFL, instead of making it easy.

Have you played AFL Live 1 recently? You can hardly move the ball.
The whole game is hold triangle, handball over the head, hold triangle etc.

I play it all the time. It'd be cool to play someone online on the PC...

Also, I always take on the tackler, so "over the head hand passing" doesn't even come into play for me that much.

I remember at one of those demos Tru Blu and Big Ant did before Live 1 was released, a representative was emphasising, "handballing is your best friend". That's the most understated comment.

So, like current day contested footy?

Clever handballs and using space gets you out of most jams in AFL1, not all, but what fun would it be if you could get out of congestion first time every time?
