Fantasia or whatever is a solid 77 if not more in my opinion one of the possitives in essendons year

Green kicked 33 goals 2 seasons in a row in an even more dysfunctional forward line at Brisbane. I have put Fantasia at 74. That is all he should be. There is no way he is an 80! I would like to see the opinion of a non-Essendon supporter on the subject

I'd have him 75, been pretty solid for a sub par team this year, but he also never broke into their best 22 with a full squad so take it with a grain of salt

Joel Patfull should not be in the 80s considering that he is actually retired.

Kelly and Coniglio should be rated higher.

Joel Patful is on the list so i can only base his rating on if he was still playing. When 2017 starts, maybe then his rating would plummet.

I will increase Kely's rating to 83 and Coniglio's to 85. I don't see how Ward and Coniglio are level just yet. Coniglio needs another A grade year to rise to 87

Coniglio is better than Scully and Ward, I'd have all 3 at 87. Zac Williams is also an 83-84

I don't see how Coniglio is better than Scully and Ward. I've boosted Coniglio to 85.

In my mind, i view Williams as a player that took advantage of the support from the elite players around him. I view him being a 79 at this stage. Would like the opinion of non-GWS supporters.

I'd already have Burton in the mid 70's (74-75) Already getting selected above the likes of Langford, O'Rourke & O'Brien. Can't imagine Henderson getting a game in front of him.

I've have Lovell in the high 60's, not 60 (a 1st round pick from last year who has already made his debut for Hawthorn should be above Willsmore who is a former rookie who has been on our list for 3 years and has not made the senior team yet). Tommy Mitchell based on his finals form should be a couple of points higher as well.

I'd also bump up Blake Hardwick, kicked 20 more goals than Schache from Brisbane in the TAC cup in the same year.

Roughy and O'Meara the hardest to rate, if they were going into this season fit and ready to go, both would be close to 90 I'd imagine, but I think 84 is about right for now.

Cyril Rioli- 91 <90 (only a handful of players should be above 90)

Josh Gibson- 87 < 85 (still A grade but not bordering elite at this stage of career)

Luke Hodge- 87 (correct, extremely damaging in finals/big games still)

Jack Gunston- 86 > 87 (AA squad as our key fwd with no other tall help, plays wing and defensive goalkeeper too, elite)

James Frawley- 85 < 84 (often plays above 84 but our defensive system is elite and helps him, unlike gibson who gets the mismatch often)

Shaun Burgoyne- 85 > 87 see Hodge

Jarryd Roughead- 84 > 88 (90 pre-illness, hasn't stepped foot on field cant drop him more than this)

Isaac Smith- 84 > 85 (solid A grade arguably best wingman in game, cant be any lower)

Jaegar O'Meara- 84 agree

Tom Mitchell- 84 > 85 (with a bullet, finals was elite, dont care he had a good midfield, played small fwd, negating fwd, tagger, midfield accumulator, will be elite very soon)

Luke Breust- 83 > 84 (last 5 seasons goal tallies: 47 52 57 40 45)

Liam Shiels- 82 agree

Ben Stratton- 82 > 84 (arguably best small defender in the game negating Betts Stringer etc, terrific interceptor and highly underrated at starting scoring chaings)

Grant Birchall- 82 > 84 (hardest to grade, wont argue with 82 too much)

Ben McEvoy- 81 < 77 (gives us nothing in hitouts, and not damaging fwd)

Ty Vickery- 80 too hard lets see him outside richmond jumper, close enough

Paul Puopolo- 79 > 80 (hurt in 2016, elite pressure and often scores multiple goals in big/close games)

Jonathan Ceglar- 79 < 77 similar to BB

Taylor Duryea- 77 < 76 (poor 2016 campaign, pressure on to keep his spot in best 22)

Billy Hartung- 76 < 74 (often left out of big games, needs to step up)

James Sicily- 75 < 74 close enough

Jonathan O’Rourke- 75 < 73 shown very little so far

Ricky Henderson- 75 < 74 close enough

Ryan Schoenmakers- 75 agree

Will Langford- 74 agree

Brendan Whitecross- 74 > 75 (firmly best 22 last year)

Ryan Burton- 72 > 76 (with a bullet, with JOM as our best youngster, should be low 80s mid 2017)

Funny that, I have been adding players and players ratings into excel as I go. I will have them sorted by rating and post this after completing the remaining 4 teams.
