As much as Port are perennial bed-shitters, Geelong produced that without a star-studded midfield and Tom Stewart.
Whilst they have a gun forward line, Geelong aren't equipped with a lot of stars yet continuously stay around the mark (last year not withstanding). Chris Scott is the best coach in the league, and has been for some time.

My wife is a Port supporter and feels the same way.
She thinks that the club lost its edge when they started obsessing more about wearing black and white and playing the victim instead of focusing on winning premierships.

It was party time on the WCE board a fortnight ago when Fremantle completed their epic choke. I didn’t enjoy it as much as the reward from Port was second and two home finals, one versus an average Geelong.
