The one clear value that catches my eye for the Coleman is Bailey Fritsch - into 15s most places after his 5 last night but can still get $21 at bet365.

Man's got arguably the most punchable face in the comp but there's no doubting he knows where the goals are and can seriously play. Kicked 47 goals in the home and away last year (11 behind McKay) and I don't see any reason why he can't build on that this year - Melbourne are going to kick a lot of goals this year and at 25 he's just coming into his prime. 6 in the GF wouldn't have hurt his confidence for this season either.

I think at 21s he's definitely the value in the market - personally I'd have him priced ahead of all bar McKay, Hawkins and Cameron - and if he stays injury free I expect him to give it a real shake.

That price is fair at 21, but anything less Id be hesitant to take. I dont see many books at the moment offering $21 as I speak. Playing at the MCG , pretty much ensures Melbourne get at least 2-3 games there during the wet season. They play 12 games at the MCG in 2022.

Team playing the reigning champions there at the MCG will be a tad cagier, knowing they are playing the champions. Did a quick number crunch and averages at the MCG in 2021 were 151.17 and Melbourne's average score was 141.90 (from 10 games). Teams playing them (especially the good teams) will play extra cagey, cautious and not be willing to take risks. I feel Geelong and Melbourne big 2 forwards may pinch goals off each other. Hawkins and Jeremy Cameron should be a bit bigger than 6 and 7's currently.

Speaking of Coleman, its become a tally where low goals as seasons have progressed. 65 is a number that can very much win it this season IMO. To be realistic there are probably are around 25 players or so that could win it - at the beginning of the season.

Harry McKay is too short for me to win it at that price.

I've had a go at Wright Coleman $151. Bit optimistic to think he wins but averaged 2.3 goals his last 10 last season which includes a bag of 7 so if it's a low total he might get close enough, if we're good enough, and he spends most of his time forward.

Wound into $41 after i put the bet on which is a good sign i guess.

To Make the All Australia 2022 Team odds which I think are decent:

  • Tom Mitchell $4 (made the last 40 selection last season)
  • Sam Walsh $2.75 (made the last 22 last year)
  • Fritsch $5.00

Hi all, not sure if any of you have a crypto wallet but I’ve been betting/predicting using this relatively new site called Robinos. They run prediction events for all sports and have a footy one (mainly because I convinced them to!)

The way it works is you buy tokens in the team/s you reckon will finish in the top 8 and the total pool of money invested is divided among those who hold the top 8 teams. Chance for some crazy returns particularly given the pools are still relatively small as they are starting out.

In the NFL playoffs event I made something like 30x return on the 49ers and they lost the prelim and one guy made 136x return on the bengals despite them losing the SuperBowl!

Here is the link (if it’s allowed): Robinos Prediction otherwise let me know if you want any more info.

This is the status of the Robinos prediction event. Prizes paid out for those making the top 8 (which is what is meant by minimum possible return).

Ive had a nibble on Lobb to score most goals for Freo, on at odds of 10.40 where 1 of the legs has gone through out of 2.

Lobb is currently $4 to be top Freo goalscorer.

TopSport were pricing up AFL Futures Multis, I was able to get them to price up the following. Won't be able to bet them after tonight. There are a few gems there so take a look through.

I got the following two priced up, these prices could be different now:

$101
-WCE over 10.5 wins
-Tigers under 13.5 wins
-Blues over 9.5 wins
-Demons, Dogs, Port, Lions Top 4

$12
-Demons top 4
-Dogs, Lions, Port, Sydney top 8
-Eagles, Tigers miss top 4
-Suns, North, Crows, Hawks, Pies miss top 8

$1.90
-Suns, North, Crows, Hawks, Pies miss top 8

Cats odds look ridiculous.

Yes they're old but if they decide to get with the times and move the ball quickly and get it into Hawkins and a fit this year Jeremy Cameron they will be devastating. Makes no sense to go out and get Cameron then refuse to kick it to him until the defense has gotten back.

Half a quarter in and they look like they've made the change. Super value.

Thought a sprinkle on Mitch Lewis to win the Coleman at 250-1 could be worthwhile. Clearly needs to elevate if he wants to win a coleman but the standard hasn't been super high for forwards recently and therefore I'm looking for longer priced options who have potential upside rather than taking the shorter quote about "known quantities".

Last couple years we've seen the coleman won on 58 and 42 goals respectively, which lends itself towards lower teams still being capable of throwing up a coleman winner. Also helps when you don't have another teammate kicking 30

Feel like he's about a 10% chance to elevate to that 50+ goal tally and put himself into the mix. Another option would be to multi him with hawks top 8 at 5.50 because I suppose those two outcomes are correlated. 1350-1.
can we stop the season now? I'll take half payout lel
