When the ball is in the back pocket, will the FF be standing in his offensive goal square? With a FP on each side and the HFF in their positions?

Or will the players get sucked out to the side the ball is on? Push up the ground etc?

I would also like the option to throw players back loose in order to try and save a lead with under a minute left.

What's the go with training or a practice area? Is there something similar to the FIFA menu where you can just take shots on goal and stuff around?

I wouldn't mind something where you start off at a training ground to have a few kicks and such (maybe have an AI player with you for some kick to kick, handpass to handpass, etc.) and then hit the start button to bring up a menu.

Another vote for this from me. Love this idea.

excellent question, i would love this to be answered. im also hoping for an option to throw some loose players in defence, im sure we should be able to do it.

He's said that they had someone studying tactics, so you'd assume there'd be all sorts of things like that... It'll be awesome if you can set your HF line(or individual positions) to push up the ground.

Training menu is a top idea. Probably spend at least half an hour just running around bombing and snapping goals before actually getting into a game.

I reckon it's fun when there isn't a salary cap and you can create a super team. Sure, it isn't realistic but I loved in 07 when contracts were non-existant and you could pick up Franklin, Ablett and Judd in the same off-season.

On that, players never seemed to retire either. They were always kicking around; I remember playing until 2030 once and the players were still there. Imagine a 50 year old player in the AFL

really looking forward to both AFL and Rugby League on the Ps3.

Obviously it is too late to add into this upcoming game, but a few of my friends over the last few years have been discussing how cool it would be if users could create their own Banner which the players run through, especially cool for online play (obviously swearing etc would have to be blocked out).

I know it is such a small idea and in no way would add effect to the actual game play itself, but i just thought its a small fun idea.

I think that the FIFA-esque training option has been the best suggestion in this thread thus far
With the FIFA mode, you press the right directional button, and you get a directional free kick. Could work with AFL and goal kicking

The players definitely go to ground, sliding in the wet I haven't tried - I will tomorrow.

Ross, did you find out if players will be able to slide in the wet?

will height difference be realistic this time, for example Brent Harvey shouldn't outmark Sandilands like in previous games or be used in the ruck.

Could you do rolling ground kicking as most AFL players do that now-imagine Mark Le Cras kicking from the boundary rolling through the goals.

Can you have brawls.

Will players get stretched off the ground if they get KO'd

Can you show off after a goal and it would be good if unique player's have a different show off like Didaks ****y dance he did on the weekend.

You should make a NEWS Paper after each round, and have breaking news for example: if a Elite player gets injured like Judd who dislocated his shoulder in round 1, it should have a picture of him holding his arm with the full story below the pic. And whoever wins the Brownlow Medal it should a a pic with him holding the Brownlow

cause its an australian game, we dont have to experience the bad lag we normally experience with other online games against other countries
