A few notes:
Bonner overtook Andrew Moore this year for No.26.
Rockliff finished level with Hardwick for No.11.
Boak overtook Francou for No.10.
No.16 is the highest used jumper with 479 games.
No.1 is ranked 4th.

OMG the sheer levels of remembering-some-guys this has brought on for me. Just from a quick scan:
- Nigel Fiegert in number 17 kicking three that day at Optus Oval (or whatever it was called that year) in teal socks
- How good everyone in number 8 has been for the club. Whoever gets that number next year has some shoes to fill
- The fact we've had more games played in the number 20 than the number 1, and how bad everyone in 23 has been
- Jaxon Crabb a name I've never gone a month without having pop up in my head despite having only the barest recollection of seeing him play (maybe once against West Coast?)

#23 is a GOAT number - not here though.

#10 only used by two players in the AFL - crazy stat for 25 years of AFL.

Pretty simple explanation - #1 is the only number guaranteed to be a locked in, best 22 player every year. So even if it did have a bit of an injury curse early days, it's still got better odds of playing plenty of footy than any other number.

The injury curse was with us until Dom Cassisi took over and since then Cassisi, Boak and Jonas have had a relatively injury free run. You could not say the same about Wanganeen, Primus and Tredrea.

Given that 1 was traditionally worn by the Captain it should have been worn around 550 times but has in fact only been worn 425 times which means it has been missing in action 125 games. A good few of those 125 games were down to Matty Primus missing most of the 2003 and 2004 seasons.
