Simple we where Crap.

Should never Played Reid and Jolly.

And I am very Dissapointed in:

-Swan
-Wellingham
-Dawes
-Toovey
-Didak
-Davis


You could tell in the Start we where never going to win today

Didak squibbing as usual. Swan useless the whole game - so much for winning a brownlowe... Jolly and Reid playing injured and being ineffective. The Reid Hawkins contest lost us the game IMO. Dawes very poor, too.
 
Hope you do not mind me posting- I sort of felt some of your players did not want it enough. Lloyd mentioned it in commentary about how in 2001 they lost that bit of hunger. I think that may have been the difference as well as the injuries.

Good game and I think you will be challenging again next year.
 
Well, after the Hawthorn game I knew it was going to be an uphill battle to win against Geelong, but seeing us lose another one after the season we had. Sigh, going to be copping it for a long, long time over this.
 
Well Maxy just got up and said they deserved it, and they did.

We kept hurting them early on and they just kept on getting back up.

Then they had a huge third qtr and were also better in the last.

Much prefer to lose like this than be better all day and have it pinched at the last.

We'll be better for that next year.

Bad luck guys, I really thought you were in with a chance at three quarter time but it wasn't to be.

Considering the extreme confidence most Collingwood supporters displayed before the match it must be a really disappointing loss for you guys.

I'm sure you'll bounce back next year and be top four again, with fresh motivation to all the way.

Before the Game I really thought the Cats would knock us off going by our last month or so had gone.

So Not a Super Surprise then won but it's how badly we played

Completely agree. Effort on some just seemed like they didn't want it. Hugely disappointing.

This one stings. Played the entire first half like a competitive team and then folded like a cheap suit in the second half. Got the entire friends and family cheering for the Pies here in random city Canada to watch that fold. Disappointing end to the season but the Cats deserved it.
 
our last 5 mn before halftime cost us the game, we had them on the rack being 3 goals up and to cough up that lead before half time was crucial, twice we kept the ball alive in our dwfensive 50 on the boundary line wen we should of killed the contest and got it over the boundary. oh and thanx jolly for puting yor hand up to play wen u were clearly injured, thanx a lot champ. flipping selfish

Don't blame players, Geelong were clearly the better team on the day, and proved that they are the greatest team of the modern era.

Jolly got a knock and was hurt as a result of that. If we had have won, you would be praising his courage.

Let's stay positive and focus on next year.
 
i dont care what anyone says, but this was a flipping wasted season, to play like we did in last 6 weeks of year was very dissapointing. no guarantees we will be back again soon, thats y its crucial to make most of these opportunities
