I'm excited for this game! The fact of the matter is the graphics were never going to be great but they arent terrible, and clearly the gameplay and features are everyone elses main focus. We finally get a Career mode on what is probably the last current gen AFL game so we may as well enjoy it! Oh and if the games just average, 5 days later GTA V drops, so it will hopefully pass that time!

@0:42 - J.Brown lining up at fullback for the Swans... with Morton and Tippett on the wings.

Unbeatable :thumbsu:

Also, check out Mumford's 'XP' compared to his teammates @0:46.... wtf.

Is there a my player feature???
From what I understand, no.

In 'Career' mode you do get to make your own player to play in the team you choose to use, but you play as the whole team, not just solely as your created player. There are also achievements based on achieving certain on-field feats with your created player, but again, you control the whole team and not just your created player, so you'll have to get the ball to him using the rest of your team first to accomplish said achievements.

BigAntStudios - For arguments sake, how high on the agenda would a "My Player/Be a Pro" mode have been for any future editions of AFL games you had in mind? Despite what some believe, and coming purely from a consumer's point of view, I think it would work.

Wow! A lot of questions!
I won’t be able to answer all questions, I will just focus on questions which will give an informative view to our 18600 plus fans before they go out and buy AFL Live 2.
As a consumer what you really want to know is what do you get for $69.95?
The following information will hopefully give an answer to the majority.

Approximately 12 months ago we set out to produce AFL Live 2 for Xbox360 and PS3, the objective was to:
• Create a fun game with great game play -we feel we have achieved this, we have a game which has a totally different game play to AFL Live but extremely fun to play.
• Create a stable game so we have a solid foundation for future development – very solid, very stable, I will be very surprised if this game will crash anytime soon.
• Ensure the online experience is fun - again achieved and with stability our priority.
• Career mode a must. It was the biggest request after AFL Live’s release and we feel we have totally achieved this. AFL Live 2 has the best career mode of any of our previous games.
• Have greater control on the development process and pave the way for a small in- house Tru Blu development team – this project has been a joint venture between Tru Blu and Wicked Witch, we feel we have achieved this task.

Unfortunately 12 months isn’t a long time in game development, so in an effort to please our anxious fans we didn’t have time to include fancy cut scenes, or glamorous graphics, these probably needed another 6 months work. Most people switch these off after a few games but for the truly devoted, we are continuing to work on these features and we intend (pending AFL approval) to release a glamour DLC pack mid-next year which would also include the new 2014 update.
No, it is not free (what is?), but you are saving a fair bit on this game and I can’t imagine the DLC price exceeding your saving.

Hopefully the above will answer most of the questions; I will now answer some of the individual questions which will further expand on the above. Feel free to comment, we do take consumer input seriously, and enjoy AFL Live 2.

2014 update sounds nice, will keep the game relevant. I bought the 2012 update for Big Ant's game. People complaining about a $15 DLC were just naive.

It says on the Facebook page that there is no PS4 or Xbox One release. So basically they're expecting people to go out, buy this game and play it for two months. Wouldn't it make sense to develop the game for the next gen consoles, spend another six months on it and release it in March?

I can't fathom any of the decisions made by Tru Blu/Wicked Witch as far as development and release go. Completely amateurish.

Oh shit. That sounds like they're planning on keeping it to themselves. :( Vale good AFL games.

Current Gen Consoles is a good decision. However I feel they should have released it months ago.

Don't you know that as soon as next gen consoles are released all current gen consoles instantly deactivate and are replaced with the next gen variants?

Blu Ray never replaced DVD and probably never will for the next five years....PS4 will take much longer to replace PS3 than it did PS3 replacing PS2. Sony knows this, that is why they are selling at an almighty loss!!!

Sorry I should have quoted my earlier post. I work at my local target in midland western Australia. If I have received it I would think most other target stores will be getting it today as well. Might be worth stopping in or giving them a call.
