Mate I have bought everything afl on pc, ps2, xbox but will not buy this if it is Wii AFL on xbox360 and ps3. If this is actually Wii AFL rebadged and updated I hope it tanks and I would love to see Tru Blu go under.

At least AFL live revolutionised the way the game should be done, hopefully we only see an improvement in this sense, and not a regression to afl 04/05/07 gameplay mechanics.

The thing I worry about with a situation like that would be that other publishers would have only picked up the AFL licence because it always brought in the big bucks (so to speak) and if one game did poorly they might decide it's not worth paying for the licence and development of an AFL game if the money isn't a guarantee.

I dream that BigAntStudios will release a game in the style of the early PES games. With no licensing whatsoever, and ridiculous made up team/player names.

Unfortunately it would probably tank pretty hard due to such a small group that would want to play an aussie rules game.

Hmm it looks like it could be okay.

I may be excited for this game by the time it comes out. I will promise never to forget what BigAntStudios did for the genre though!

EDIT: My massive, massive fear is that it will have "series of minigame" playstyle as the wii game did. "take speccies, kick massive torps" etc. doesn't fill me with too much confidence though :S
