Sounds fair enough to me...

Wonder If they will release a patch early to fix the interchange and easy trading problems.
 
ugh, the artificial difficulty shits me. easy and medium are alright, when you play on hard the ball bounces off your chest and you get bulk high tackles against you

not to mention i'm playing as gippy power and the umpires wear white, huge clash

not huge on the way the advantage rule works either. most of the time you'll hear a whistle and won't know whose free kick it is until you pick it up and are either stripped of the ball or hear "ADVANTAGE"

Anyone managed to work out how the xp on career mode works? Sometimes post game they've all got 0-100 then all of a sudden one player will get 7000

It's completely random isn't it :(
 
As quirky as Commetti may be, I often wonder how much better the commentary would be without his voice making jokes every 3 seconds. Just get someone else to do some straight up commentary for once, I think it's time for a change.

The advantage is rubbish. Your player pick the ball up and it advantage even if your out numbered 5 to 1 and don't want it. And why is there so many whistles, they go off all the time even when you kick a goal or a point. I always think there is a free kick.

Also when ever there is a mark or free kick near the goal square I end up at the top of the goal square. I got pinged for rushing a point near the boundary line and they took at the took of the goal square.

Happy that the ability to edit unlicensed teams as there. If I have the time I'll edit the Geelong Falcons squad to include a couple of my mates.

Bought the game today and just about to start my first match. Praying I'll enjoy it because I have defended it to the hilt this entire thread, but if not, thank you EB returns policy
 
- how do u kick a set shot? 30-45 meters out my kick ends up going to the goal square or shank
- when marking the ball my player automatically does a quick kick

And the oakleigh chargers are absolute thugs or the tribunal just wants to kick us out of the comp. got 7 blokes suspended atm
 
The reality is that AFL Live was a few bug fixes away from being a very good game.

AFL Live 2 by contrast is really an ordinary arcade game. The only resemblance it has to AFL football is that you can kick and handball a footy. AFL Live played like real footy in most senses. In AFL Live 2 it's like they got together a match engine, did the animations and then just released the game. I can't figure out what or why any of the players I'm not controlling are doing. You essentially are just kicking or handballing the ball anywhere.

I'd much have preferred to pay $60 for a patch to AFL Live with a couple of bug fixes than for this.

That's the worst thing about sports games that are made by lazy developers.

Instead of doing the more complex thing and making the AI better, they make your team worse and things that you could do on easy difficulty simply don't work. I noticed that on legendary my players wouldn't even jump up to spoil even though I was pressing the right buttons. They make it harder by making you worse and there is nothing you can do about it.
 
The rain physics are ridiculous too, it looks like waters pouring down my tv screen in the foreground while the players are in the background, trying to upload a photo but its too big.

Did anybody else notice that nighttime at the MCG looks like day?

When I had my copy I reset the game 4 times because I kept thinking it defaulted back to day time, but nope. I guess the MCG's lights really are that bright.
 
Question about set shots:

In AFL Live 1 it was too easy. So to increase the realism offline I would just go into the control section and swap the controllers to the AI for the set shot.

In AFL Live 2, with the goal kicking being a piece of turd, can this also be done?
 
It's frustrating when you mark in the clear and go to play on your man just stands there starts to go back on the mark then starts playing on as soon as the opposition player turns up.

I have never returned a game but might take up EB's offer on this one. Do you get a week?

Find the whistle sound effect while you're there too. It's about twice as loud as any of the other effects and 10 times as annoying.
