Would like to know how smoothly the game runs, as in, when your running down the field with the ball and press the handball button, if you quickly tap it then will it quickly give a short handpass away or will it take an AGE for the ball to leave the player's hand like in AFL 2007? Same goes for kicks.

Button input and reaction is super quick. It's definitely 'push button' *player does action instantly* stuff. No button lag.

if u hold handball button, do the players present the ball then only punch it when u release the button? ie a dummy? or can you press a kick option when theyre holding the ball out to dummy hand / quick kick?
No idea, didn't test that one out.
hey HBK, how does marking work? Are there modifiers to take potential over the head marks or things like that?
I won't go in depth on this as I reckon Ross would want this part to be found out when it comes out. But marking is A LOT better than previous versions (basically feels like you are actually enforcing the mark rather than a crap shoot). There is no 'speccy button' either, that relies on things like positioning, timing, speed into the mark, etc.

Quite a relief ha, cheers mate.

Also nice to see your a fellow Richmond supporter, good lad ;)

Sorry if this has been covered (if so, please direct me to where to look) but how much do we know about 'off-season' options such as the draft and trading?

Yep, there is options FOR that to happen.

Wow, that's some crazy attention to detail. What on earth would that option be called? A very good addition for ppl who like to play on the same team.

Ross, will this option be changeable in online multiplayer or just offline? I'm guessing it will be a set option online, if so, what is it set to?

Question for my fellow gamers (and Ross, from a gaming perspective):

When the game is released, what team, or free agency, is Brendan Fevola heading to? I think I'm gonna put him on Essendon or Melbourne, since they could use a big forward to bag the goals.

The only things i'd heard were that we could do trades ourselves by moving players between lists. Nothing about a fantasy draft?

im going to create west sydney and have fev scully swan bartel pendlebury thomas taylor walker and so on this should be pretty cool

Think im going to trade him to stkilda for kosi.

Then getting rid of Mcqualter , Dempster, Clarke, & a few other stkilda crap players
for Harry obrien, L Jurrah, Swallow, :)

worked it all out, stkilda wont have those duds any more.... specially kosi! who will be traded.....

Im going to create the Brisbane Lions premiership squad I believe.

What a team :D

I actually think it would be a good idea (in future iterations) to have these types of teams in the unlockables section. Then you could pit the Lions of 01-02-03 up against Collingwood of 2010 for instance. Ai vs Ai. Would be pretty cool to watch, it's about as close as you'll ever get to seeing two great teams of different decades face off.
