Early odds are out

Collingwood 1.47 v 2.74 Freo
Melbourne 2.80 v 1.46 Adelaide
WCE 1.28 v 3.90 Kangaroos
Richmond 1.94 v 2.00 Brisbane
Sydney 1.30 v 3.70 Essendon
Port 1.76 V 2.10 Hawthorn
Carlton 3.10 v 1.47 Bulldogs
St.Kilda 3.75 v 1.29 Geelong

I like the look early of Port Adelaide at home, as that big loss to Geelong has escalated their price up so much.

I also reckon the Bluebaggers might be worth a punt as , Doggies are coming back from travel from Canberra, and Blues prefer to play more at the G then at the Dome (quicker surface at the Dome slightly favours them)

Whilst I will probably tip Richmond this week surely nobody can back them at odds on!!

Reckon that Port @ 1.76 is an excellent price v Hawthorn, they are equal on the ladder, Port are at home and over the past 3 years they have played the Hawks at AAMI and have won by 96, 117 & 81 points. Have also won their last 7 v Hawthorn. Hawks have also played interstate teams at home twice this year (Brisbane, Fremantle) for 2 losses.

Looks a special

Surely last week's demolition by the Cats makes you reluctant to back the Power? Not ruling it out yet as haven't had a good look at the game. But Port were ordinary yesterday.

I think Melbourne at the + points could be worth a shot. Adelaide not playing that well at the moment, a little inconsistent. Melbourne getting better each week, more players coming back, they look a bit more settled.

Agree. If i have a line of around + 15..i am willing to back Melbourne.

I am also looking at a Pies, Swans and Geelong multi.

Thoughts?

I rarely bet on or against my team - because of my own bias.

can i get some perspective - are we "overs" with judd, kerr, embley, cousins out since our last meeting?

liking port adelaide - they should bounce back.

As a Hawthorn supporter, I think that is crap value for the Hawks....PA definetly worth a go at $1.76....

I wouldn't touch Geelong at those odds.

St Kilda at the line could be value though, I think we'll get up, but it's usually pretty close between us and them.

I'm looking at a Swans, Pies, Bulldogs, West Coast multi.

I think the Kangaroos are a shot at the points against West Coast though, but the Eagles should just get over the line.

Dunno mate...they midfield is decimated. Not worth the risk. 1.30 is not good enough for that risk IMHO. Id rather go for geelong

freo are good odds im gonner back them straight out and a small multi into adelaide win and a brisbane win paying $7.33

Richmond opened $1.90 and have already been punted in to $1.75 - $1.78 at most bookies. Amazing for a team with a 0 & 9 record but in saying that I think they will win. Melb with a 15.5 point headstart is an excellent line bet against the Crows.

$6 is poor value. Atleast 1 of them will make the final and you could get $6 on their opponent (if both didn't make it) on a H2H.

Only good value if you think they both won't make the final.

I haven't put any bets on yet, but this is how I see it so far

Confidence levels, HIGH (4 units), MEDIUM (2 units) or LOW (1 unit)

Collingwood - LOW
Adelaide - HIGH
West Coast - MEDIUM (odds way too short so no bet)
Brisbane - LOW
Sydney - HIGH
Port - LOW
Bulldogs - MED/HIGH
Geelong - HIGH

I would personally connect Swans and Geelong into a 6 unit multi.

This year whenever we've been thrashed we've come out the next week and done the opposite. Not saying Geelong will get thrashed by the Saints, but I reckon the 3.60 on offer is good value - you never know which Geelong will turn up even though they are VERY impressive. They're just as likely to smash us though.

Best bet this week is Melbourne +15.5. Adelaide struggled last week against an inconsistent young side, now they have to play Melbourne just as they're gathering form and at their favourite ground. Dees should break their duck this week. Richmond I'm not so sure about, although Brisbane have been woeful the past 2-3 weeks.

No0B question, but can I bet anywhere online for 8/8 tips? Or do I just gotta do a multi with all the team I think will win? Or is it the same thing? :o

Brisbane HT/FT at 2.65. May have a bit on that.

The Swannies cost me a large collect a few weeks ago, still not keen on them.

Melbourne at the line into the Dogs and Pies looks good.
