Interested on people's early thoughts.

Had a quick look at the H2H, these interested me as good value

Bris (2.38) over Adelaide (1.26)
WCE (2.2) over Coll (1.07)
Sydney (1.59) over North (1.9)
Melb (3.2) over Carlton (1.21)

not convinced about any of those but the other matches didn't interest me at all..

$1.07 is still 'overs' (seeing as collingwood are going to win) just like the $1.06 was today...

Ah, well in that case, what you need to do is look above each of the back and lay columns. If the "back" column is much greater than 102% or so, and the "lay" column is much less than 98%, then you're getting ripped off.

LOL, got them from betfair, what an idiot. Betfair is just people putting up markets for you to take. Not actual odds, although you can take it if you want

Not necessarily, it usually only means you're getting ripped off backing one side of the market. I just got odds of 1.26 for collingwood against the eagles, I don't think the bookies will be offering anything over 1.20.

Well that's true I guess. You could have a reasonable quote for one outcome and ridiculous odds the rest and be way over 102%. It's a fair guide though.

to tell you the truth, i dont shop around for odds...

its not really an issue when you just stick to picking winners...

i can see how odds make a difference to someone who needs to cover losses like yourself...

If I can get $2.5ish on the Pies under 40 than I will bet on that. West Coasts two road losses were against the hawks by 10 and and the Bombers by 16. They also got off to a good start in both of these games. Against the Hawks they were up 10@qt and were -1@ht. Against the Bombers they were up 15@qt and 12@ht. If the odds are good/line is big than a qt ml or ht line bet might be worth a look.

Agree with this. There's no way we can win but if we can maintain this form we should put up a very good fight. I'm very interested in the line for this game.
