Early odds are out for Round 11
Essendon 2.30 V 1.60 West Coast
Hawthorn 1.80 V 2.00 Sydney
Brisbane 2.00 V 1.80 Bulldogs
Carlton 1.95 V 1.85 Port Adelaide
Adelaide 2.05 V 1.75 Geelong
St.Kilda 1.70 V 2.12 Kangaroos
Fremantle 1.20 V 4.00 Richmond
Melbourne 2.35 V 1.58 Collingwood

7/8 games seem very even on paper. i reckon the interstate sides will all win this weekend, WCE team much better than essendon, and WCE yet to play in melbourne yet.

sydney also have the slightly better team, and 2.00 is great value and the bloods will be coming out full fire this weekend.

dont know why carlton is so short against port, but can the young blues maintain consistency?

adelaide, at aami stadium is always hard to beat. 2.05 is great there

freo 1.20, too short not touching that

bulldogs seem to be falling to pieces with a run of losses now. beating brisbane in brisbane not as tough a proposition as it once was, but brisbane will look to bounce back on home patch.

$2.10 Adelaide at home against a Geel side who've been up for a while
Nice price

Ok, time to put on the punter's hat for this weekends games.

Carlton are a certainy to kick the highest score for the round and Fev will kick the most goals.
Back West Coast if you have any multi bets as they're by far the most consistent team in the afl.
The crows will win by around 3-5 goals.
If you wanna take a punt then Mebourne have very generous odds.
Sydney and Adelaide are extremely good value like the other guy said.

I like West Coast this week. It will be a close game as Essendon play well against us at Telstra. I have been to this game live for the past 7 years and it always full of drama. Remember Sheedy blaming the 'birds' for knocking down an Essendon player and his famous ' your head is off' gesture. And Hird's amazing goal from a last minute snap and him hugging a fan straight after. I could not believe Hird did not a Brownlow vote for that game .. I guess he had fairly harsh words to say about the umpires the week before. It will probably be his last game against the Eagles in Melbourne unless we meet in the finals.

I had some money on WCE to win by 61+ against the Roos last week. That was very close. We were only 2 or 3 goals up in the beginning of the last quarter. We eventually won by 66 points and the Roos had someone kicking for goal after the siren which would have lost the punt for me.

Will put 500 straight up for a win and 400 under 39 and 100 over 40 as a hedge.

having a goalless second quarter (6 behinds) doesnt help either. that really killed off the roos chances at the outset. ohh well.

big bets - what do you think of the eagles over 15.5 @ 2.10? last result between the teams at telstra was 113 - 92 west coasts way.

I haven't really looked into it yet but the Roos were tracking well before the West Coast game. Maybe that price is a little reactive to the tumping. Perhaps some value there?

Very reactive. The Roos were in it at 3 quarter time! St Kilda look very ordinary IMO and dont deserve to be short faves!

Fair bet. At Telstra Dome with roof on it has always been a bit of shoot out with the Dons. Even with Fletcher and Michael in the backline, Eagles will spread their goals among the midfielders and makeshift forwards. As I recall the last couple of games at the Dome we have started poorly but still had 100+ scores at the end.

.

Reasonable odds there!
The bombers wouldn't be a bad bet.
Hawthorn at 1.80 will win easy.
Brisbane Bullies is a 50/50
Carlton will put it to Port
Adelaide will beat Geelong at home
Kangas are a real solid bet
Fremantle will win but on Sportsbet richmond are at 5 if you want a roughy

True, but then there's the whole travelling back from Perth factor which tends to get a lot of clubs.

I'd still go with the Roos though, but I'd look into it a little bit first.

Are Melbourne worth getting on?
Essendon/Adelaide surely the pick of the bunch.

Surely Hawthorn can't lose to the Swans? 1.94 are great odds.

I think Brisbane's season is over but they may be able to salvage a win this week against the Bulldogs who don't travel that well.

no love for west coast.

with kerr back and against a midfield that plods surely 1.60 is good value. wouldve had them at 1.3 myself.

and arent hawthorn due for a downer.

Edit: Gibson out for the roos - head injury suffered at home. shocking news for the roos, the back 6 were poor enough as it is (with a midfielder at fullback).
