I wonder how many times the cats have lost by 40 or more in the past three years.. im thinking twice? once against collingwood and the other against brisbane when they rested everyone

St. Kilda are at brilliant odds to beat the Pies and the line looks quite juicy going by the Saints early form. Carlton and Essendon games are always close (take out round 13s brain explosion) so either team under 15.5 looks sweet to me. Adelaide I expect to bounce back hard. Wont be touching North/WCE and Port/Bris because there is a case for all sides. Freo have got a good history againt Geelong so they are a decent shot at covering their line.

St. Kilda -17.5 @ 1.90
Carl/Ess either team under 15.5 @ 3.20
Adelaide -15.5 @ 1.90
Freo + 13.5 @ 1.90

Freo good history against Geelong?

Season Round Venue Winner Loser
2009 22 Skilled Stadium Geelong (94) Fremantle (54)
2009 12 Subiaco Geelong (94) Fremantle (75)
2008 15 Skilled Stadium Geelong (118) Fremantle (44)
2008 6 Subiaco Geelong (89) Fremantle (88)
2007 17 Subiaco Geelong (140) Fremantle (72)
2007 8 Skilled Stadium Geelong (94) Fremantle (69)
2006 12 Subiaco Geelong (118) Fremantle (52)
2005 10 Skilled Stadium Fremantle (91) Geelong (82)

I dont reckon so... Only logic that points to Freo staying close is that they have an extra days rest with minimal injuries whereas Geelongs fitness may not be up to scratch (didnt really show against the Hawks) and that they have quite a few outs.

im liking freo at the line with the cats not having the motivation plus less rest and im liking the dogs to cover the line against the depleted hawks.

and does anyone know what the max bet is on pinnacle, centrebet and sportsbet? iv heard rumours that sportsbet cap your account if you try to bet too much??? would online accounts take bets of up to $1000? not saying ill be doing this any time soon but just curious:thumbsu:

Centrebet caps your winnings at $250,000 per week (In profit - although I've not tested the limit myself),

I've bet 4 figures on Centrebet no problem. Although if its a human element market - big brother, interest rates, they make take time to manually approve the bet.

Only site that has capped me from betting what ever amount I want is Sportingbet (capped me to like $25 bets). Im pretty sure Ive barely won much from them as well so I dont get why theyve capped me. Ive bet four figure bets with centrebet and sportsbet and theyve been perfectly fine

Sportingbet can cap you?

Thats a bit worrying as they are who I use.

Yeah i never understood why but im signed up to many other sites so I just didnt use them anymore.

Just one day when I decided to put a bet through it didnt let me and said maximum Im allowed to bet was $25 and it has been like that since.

Maybe I did something without realising and they thought i was a danger to them somehow... I only really bet on AFL, Soccer and the tennis and many sites provide this so it doesnt bother me.

Does it really matter if they cap you?

Just withdraw all your funds and go elsewhere, they can not stop you from doing that.

You may miss one bet, but I'd withdraw all my money straight away if any betting agency tried to cap me.

TAB has shut me out of my online account because someone tried to "hack it". When I rang up they told me to go into a TAB and handle it there with ID. Luckily there's very little in the account, so the TAB isn't getting my money for a while.

Basically what I'm saying is if they treat you like shit, leave them on the spot.

If you put Geelong's record against most sides over the last 4 years it would show something similiar if not worse to that. I think there is a fair bit of logic showing freo may be quite competitive.

Interesting to see Geelongs last 2 games at Subi against Freo too, 19 points and 1 point wins.

Let's face it, forget what happened last week, you can only look at Freo in regards to home form anyway, especially against good sides.

I think Freo at +24.5 around 1.50 is a decent bet.

Personally Geelong with a 24.5 point head start @1.20 is basically free money imo.

They all can cap (or even ban) if you start winning too much. Sometimes its not even the amounts. If you are a consistent winner they will get rid of you.

This practice isn't restricted to Sportingbet. They all do it.

Hmm is that legal? Probably is I would assume...

hmm that sucks!

You'd be safe on Betfair though wouldn't you?

It would be pretty stupid of Betfair to cap you, considering that they make money on every transaction, regardless of the result.

Although Betfair do still have a 'Premium Charge' for high money earners.

Anyone who got good odds on the Saints should be jumping up and down right now.

Shaw and Johnson out for the pies, even with Presti and O'Bree back, makes it very hard for Collingwood to even get close.
