It seems when there is a new rule, or a tightened rule, it inevitably slides or eases over the following years.
Eg
1/Dissension towards the umpire-- When this was tightened a few years ago, umpires were giving frees for players standing with their arms outstretched, and/or arguing the decision. This happens all the time now.

2. Going over the mark- Umpires just do not pay this anymore. Players are regularly standing a meter past where the free kick was awarded.

3.Grabbing a player after he has been paid a mark. That used to be an automatic free kick a few years ago.

4. Shoving a player, after you have won a free kick for holding the ball, to rub it in. Not even a warning is given now.

RIP Kicking In Danger.
??? - ???

This one has really bugged me. Died in the arse when contact below the knee/sliding came in. Umpires are happy to just call play on when it’s a pretty obvious kicking in danger and a player is trying to get their hands on the ball. They might not call contact below the knee but they rarely are calling it kicking in danger.

Ducking your head and then getting tackled is your priority opportunity and holding the ball.

Does my head in that the umpires have forgotten about this rule, especially with all the staging going on across the league.

Players dropping the ball as the tackle happens and getting free kicks for holding the man is another that really irks me too.
