AFL Silver Membership Waitlist Number Part 2

The redevelopment will be interesting. What will happen with the reduced capacity during works? Will they shaft us further afterwards. I am hoping they get some better and more corporate facilities for the w*nkers and give us some seats back.

They should introduce a third membership category to at least make members feel like they're progressing through the system.

The issue is they've done this at the bottom end with Bronze now having a short wait until Silver and capping Silver, not having a Silver+ membership category that gets you a few benefits above Silver.

It's really not hard to isolate out the 5,000 members closest to Gold to give them some small benefits that give them priority over any Silver that signed up over the last 5-10 years or whatever, as a "thank you for waiting" - something cheaper, something priority, whatever. That would be the logical step. Not there yet.

I think people would be less upset with how the wait times to become Gold have blown out to what they expected when they signed up 10+ years ago, if it meant that someone who signed up for Silver four years ago was prevented from also buying multiple guest passes or whatever.

Its a 20 year wait now. It was around 10 when I signed up and I hit 10 next year with at a guess sub 9k to go

The 4 Geelong supporters sitting next to me weren't AFL Members. There was a mother and son and a father and son. I overheard the mother say she bought them off a guy and that the guy had bought the 4 tickets.

I joined that queue and was at 180 well before 11am. I wasn't paying a lot of attention (didn't intend to buy) but at some point it changed to say I would be given a position when the sale started and sure enough I was no longer 180.
I wonder what we'll get next year for AFL Members.
