Not ticket related but membership related. Just saw that new AFL junior memberships are only available to kids under the age of 14 signing on from 2026 onwards, and they will be transferred to an adult membership when they turn 15!

Yeah I just saw that. WTF. Seriously getting over the AFLs obsession with spreading out their ‘engagement’ 12 months of the year. It’s summer ffs.

It’s how everything operates now. You tell your boss about how you improved everything by 4% every quarter and he relays that to the board. The actual product gets worse over ten years but who cares.

AFL also mostly employs pretty late 20 year olds in its marketing departments, they love the idea of working for the AFL but have zero idea into how it operates.

The AFL also sacked heaps of people during Covid and went on a crazy employment drive in 2023-24. Most of those hires ****in suck.

I paid the lower amount so this doesn't affect me, but you should demand what they promised, or a refund of the extra you paid. Then say you'll do a charge back on the credit card, though that might be too late.

Adult with student concession if they can provide their student card.

Not sure what the concession price is but its surely going to be more than a junior membership.

The AFL have however in their kindness (cough) allowed renewals of existing junior memberships to fall under the old rule where they stay junior until they turn 18..

Too true!

Always makes me chuckle when I hear millennials talk about ‘ris etc. it’s like they are the first generation to have their own vocabulary. Reminds me of how you hear about 60s kids saying things like ‘cool daddio’. Ever hear anyone talk like that now?
