Did anyone see on AFL teams on FOX1 last night when Tony Shaw announced who he thought was All-Australian at this point of the competition???

He had 4 Geelong players (Gablett, Bartel, Wojak and Mooney), which Pickers says "Are you picking the AA team or the Geelong team?" Only then to announce his team which also had 4 cats players(Gablett, Bartel, Mooney and Milburn).

I couldnt help but laugh.

For the record, Leigh Colbert had Gablett, Bartel, Milburn and Scarlett.

It was also a pleasant surprise to see Mooney named in 2 of their teams last night at CHF.

I was surprised too - usually we might expect 1 player. If Colbert had a say, that explains it - I've said before, he is right behind this side in 2007 - but we must not make too much of it. Lid firmly on for now.

I'd be very surprised if either Mooney or Wojcinski made it.

Mooney has been solid but both Pavlich and Lucas would be ahead of him at the moment.

Wojcinski was excellent early in the season, probably for the first 6 or 7 rounds, but has been quiet since.

Milburn has been down on form from years gone by (especially early this season) and never made the AA team then so I can’t see him making it now.

Scarlett is a chance although he now plays a different role due to Egan’s emergence.

Ablett and Bartel are certainties.

He should have been right behind the side in the late 90s...
That's another story - and one which is more complicated than we knew at the time. I used to be a strong critic of his decision but have been fortunate enough to speak to him and hear his side - very private person.
We have a good, strong supporter in him - I hope we can 'use' him some time.

C'mon then, give us the story!

I agree that Wojak is not quite AA at this stage of the season.

Mooney has been solid but should not be in the team due to other CHF having more of an impact in the media.

I think Milburn and Scarlett are judgment calls.

I love Wojcinski but there's no way he's in contention at the moment.

The same goes for Moons. He's yet to really dominate a game, despite being in the top 10 goalkickers.

I'm happy with his efforts this year as he's certainly playing his role perfectly but I don't think it's been enough to be AA.

Is this a reason other than the one about how he was being undercut by the senior players?

And yeah, Moons and Woja not even close. Gaz and Bartel would have to be certs at the moment; Milburn has been good all year and seems to be getting a lot of press coverage, especially from Healy, so he could be in with a chance.

In Burgatron's mid season AA team, only Ablett and Bartel were listed from the Cats. The backline was a disgrace... He had K.Cornes, B.Harris and D.Fletcher... No Glass, no Scarlett...

I shudder at his choices. Except Fletcher. He's alright.
But K. Cornes and B. Harris haven't exactly stood out the last couple of weeks. How could you pick them ahead of Scarlo. Scarlo could run rings around K. Cornes.
