When the competition expanded and Richmond came in I can remember it said that each club had two players they could basically pay whatever they wanted to, outside any cap? Whether clubs cared for AFLW or not, they were going to show they cared and get good quickly and throw a lot of money, money we didn’t have, at anyone decent. We lost Monic Conti and Katey Brennan, two superstars of the competition. And that was from just one club. Then of course Emma Kearney and Bonnie Toogood and others I can’t remember. Because I’m starting to disengage, not because we are bad, gee I’ve followed the men’s through enough down times, but we’ve been ransacked. And no one at our club or at the AFL itself has cared enough. What was Gil or Nicole Livingston doing about this matter? And our President’s or CEO’s weren’t speaking out enough and because of this the media has been silent. It’s been shithouse really.

While a valid post, it's not much chop compared to the 5 immediately before yours.

Anyway, time for the first wine of the day... a lambrusco, of course. :wineglass:

Ideally the Lamb trade would have Port’s pick 4 coming back. 1 and 4 would get us the top two Victoria picks (at least those who haven’t pre-listed) in Kristie-Lee Weston-Turner and Alyssa Pisano, who along with Farquharson would lead to a whole new and very fast forward line.
It's a pity the ball will never reach our forward line.

Interesting that, with Gavalas coming in, we have had picks 1, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10
& 11 from the 2019 Draft on our list at various times. Of those, Morris Dalton is gone and Newton is set to go.

I am shattered that we have lost Lamb. She is the heart and soul of the team. Never give up attitude.

I am afraid that we are in for more years of pain.

This is four or five years of rebuilding for us now before we're in premiership contention. Wooden spooners again next year for sure. And we are still yet to lock in a coach, which makes it even worse.
