Shattered but shows we can compete. Hope we don't get the predictable "Cats were due, they were down" crap. We made them work. And to the Johnno knockers, don't even try to blame him. In pocket on siren, with no chance to play on is not easy. Not even close to the shit kick against Roos last year.
Hope we realise we have to play like this every week to be contenders. 17 goals against the Cats is almost unheard of.

so close.. Johnno misses another matchwinning goal, it happens. He played well but f*ck. Geelong will be looking over their shoulders if we play them come finals time. Overall a good game, but dissapointment is a bitter, bitter taste.

good thread mate exactly wat i was thinking. our best game for the year, by a long way. Dont blame johno, he worked his ass of the whole match but couldnt sucure the win. Callan ward was good with 10 tackles and griff with 9. Acker was in tremendous form as usual. eagleton was the surprise package and i licked his run and carry from the backline. Cooney didnt have a good game but other players stood up.

for such a great effort tonight if other results dont go your way you could fall way down from were you are now, a very close season were 1 loss can be a big one...

Aker and Johnno were brillo....except for some key misses from Johnno.

I just hope we can take this form into the rest of the year.

37 pts down mid-way through the third quarter and i thought we were gone!
to our credit we got to within 3 points and could have won if johnno kicked the goal..which was on the boundary..always tough!

I wish Johnno took a bit more time over that. One of the leaders really should have got over to him and settled him down a bit. Easier said than done now I suppose though.
