Hi, on the back of all the threads basically accusing Alan of murder I thought it was appropriate to start up a thread where we as loyal supporters could offer our support.
Even though I'm sure we all agree that Alan has not quite done the right thing here I also think that the general public and MEDIA especially have absolutely crucified the guy.
He needs as much support as he can get at the moment and I was hoping that if anyone had access to the club, (maybe you JAJH??) these thoughts could be passed along to Alan so that he does know that there are people out here that do feel for him apart from his family.

(I would love it if the footy admin/moderators could keep imbeciles from other clubs out of this thread. Not sure whether thats possible but that would be great.)

I clearly stated NO idiots on this thread. There are a million other Didak threads if you want to go over there and abuse and accuse but this one has simply been made for the people who want to support him through a tough time. I don't care if i'm the only one in this thread but I would like for *******s like you to kindly f$#koff!!!!

This thread isn't for discussion on whether he is or isn't guilty, whether he did or didn't get penalised properly.
It is simply to OFFER SUPPORT to a guy who I'm sure is feeling like absolute crap.

You seem to struggle with sensible logical responses ..so i'll leave you to it ..good luck with the thread

I see your logic Blues Man but didn't I clearly state what the thread was for??

What happened to Didak was pure bad luck. Just partying at beginning of the break and having a bit of adventure, little did he know it was going to be Hell's angels thugs. Totally absurd to say there's something morally wrong with that - the worst you could say is it was taking a bit of a chance, but you do that every time you walk out your door. the really bad luck was one of these morons happens to kill someone a week later, now people say Didak is partly responsible - utter crap!
It used to be the Australian ethic that you don't dob people in, if say they fire off a pistol. I remember some kids after school firing their dad's pistol, I consider I would have been a prick to dob them in.
Now apparently the new ethic is "dob, dob, dob" and if you don't you're a bad person. I choose the old ethic thanks.

Now there's this stuff from the club that you have to report to teh club every little "tarnished" thing you get involved with or witness. So much for being a free country. It's very sad what's happening to Australia, corporations are totally taking over our lives and dictating that we all have to be their idea of model citizens, otherwise we lose our jobs and our reputations. it's really no different in principle than communism.

I just say to A Didak, you have to cop this crap but let it roll off your back and stick it up em on Sunday!

I actually fear for Alan Didak. Today's front page of the Herald Sun is a disgrace. That is the sort of thing that destroys a human being and throws them over. And all to sell papers.

I feel sorry for the family of Brendan Keilar, but what his mother said is just horrible. Alan Didak was unfortunately in the wrong place at the wrong time, and he has to live with it. The fact that he hasn't broken a law, yet his career is on the line is punishment enough.

Do you honestly think that Brendan Keilar would be alive if Didak reported this. No. I doubt a manhunt would be enforced for a bloke who fired errant shots one night. The only difference is that if Didak reported it we would have had another crime scene which would have involved Alan Didak being seriously injured or worse.

This is just another chance for people like Caroline Wilson and Mike Sheehan to suck someones blood and destroy another career as if it hasn't already been done. This will run for the next week with every individual in the media teeing off on a young man who has excepted a lift.

If you havn't been out in the City, met people, and had a beer with them every now and then, then you don't have a life. Just because a bloke has a few tats is doesn't mean they are a criminal. I am the same age as Alan and I accepted numerous lifts from people I have just met.

I'm sure a lot of people associated with Paul Denya or Ivan Milat, yet they are not accessories to a murder.

Put yourself in Alan's position and you'll see how easy it is to make a simple judgement of error. I think we have all been in situations we regret, but our arn't documented.

I appreciate the posts so far but i think u misread my intentions for this thread.
I was hoping that maybe someone could pass this thread along to Alan and therefore can we all maybe write something in order of support rather than just making this another discussion.

I reckon Didak's thinking was that he was heavily intoxicated and in the company of bikies with firearms so naturally he just wanted to get out without getting killed or beat up. Next day he probably wakes up thinking should I report this, but then thinks about all the recent castrations of footballers for just taking a drink and then chooses to let it slide. Whether he realised the guy on the shooting rampage was the same bloke or whether he wasn't confident or absolutely sure it was the same guy I dunno. But really how could he have predicted the guy would do what he did.

Good luck on Sunday Alan. Hope you stick it up Caroline Wilson's wrinkly butchered @rse.

Kick a bag.

I just fear that he was in the car when shots were fired and as such, should have reported it. This is, in my opinion, his only transgression. With the resulting ongoings that followed, it's turned out bad that he decided to keep it to himself. It's a terrible position that he has inadvertently got himself into. Having said that, if he wasn't in the car when shots were fired... non issue.

Explaining why you think AD has been treated unfairly *is* the best kind of support! More so than only saying "good on you " or whatever.

Do you honestly believe he deserves support ???
what he did was stupid to the extreme...given his history one would have thought pies fans would be filthy on him.

HISTORY? What you mean having an argument with a taxi driver and having an argument with his girlfriend? He has never been pulled up for anything before. Before this he has been involved in papparazzi/tabloid type stories.

I picked up the Herald Sun in the newsagency this morning, looked at the headline and read the first couple of paragraphs. I put the paper straight back where it came from and I will never buy that rubbish paper again.

This sort of rubbish drives people to depression and suicide. To just come straight out and blame Alan for what happened is just plain and simply wrong and this sort of gutter journalism should never be printed.

If, heaven forbid, that Alan should resort to taking his own life will these fools that write these stories take responsibility for it, I think not. Instead of sensationalising something they should think of the person it is aimed at.

The facts that have been put out through the media draw no conclusion that Alan knew Hudsons name, nor have they said that Alan was in the car when the shots were fired and even if all these things were true there is no proof that the police would have arrested Hudson before he went on his rampage.

I wish Alan all the best and I hope with the help of the club he can put all this behind him and continue to play great football.

Where there's smoke there's fire. His previous incidents, albeit minor, prove he seems to have a problem behaving himself after dark.

I don't think they do. Around 80% of players would go out (OFFSEASON MIND YOU) and get pissed after dark. This is even assuming Didak was that drunk in these incidents.

Feel shocking for Dids at the moment, can't believe the nerve of not only posters on bigfooty condemning him to murder but also the media dumping blame on the poor bloke.

I say to hell with MIke sheean and his stupid article today

Hope he gives them hell on the weekend
