I would like to hear as many opinions on Alan Didak as I can..

Personally, i believe he is Collingwood's saviour. A few worrying signs that he isn't an in and under player and a bit of a show pony but just natural magician who is the most exciting player ive seen for a long time at Collingwood..

Favourite memory: Friday or Saturday night final against Brisbane a couple years back.. comes on in the last qtr and kicks 2 goals to seal victory for Collingwood.. 2nd goal being one of the best goals ive ever seen under the pressure of the timing

It was a saturday nite, qualifying final 2003. Pretty much won us the game off his boot in that last quarter.

The guy is a natural talent, just needs to string enough games together to have an impact over a season. At the moment he's only ever had impact on a few games at a time, but when he does, he does it properly.

He's gonna be a gun.

Maybe not our "saviour" but is going to be a gun player.

is that Buddha or Budda Hocking? :p

if he could get a full preseason under the belt and step up into the midfield he will be great

Agreed, if you asked any respected afl player, they would say that if he can play in the middle he will win the brownlow.

Who cares about the Brownlow? The Alan Didak Medal is way more prestigous.

I think he can be a pretty special player. He really needs to be fit and have a massive year next year if we are going to be a decent team.

i wont retract my statment.. i still believe he is a SAVIOUR 4 collingwood.. i just see p daicos in him, close 2 every1 does and u kno what daics could've done if he didnt have those niggling injuries throughout his career. all im sayin is if didz is havin this much of an impact in 1-2 qtrs a game or in 3-4 games this year when not injured imagine what he will do at 24-25 when playing 22 (hopefully 25) games a year.. Alan Didak medal is much more valuable then charlie but he will ave to lower his standards and accept a charlie once in his career.. i hope so because im sick of seein collingwood players with the world of potential at their feet and bein injury-plagued for their careers and it getting ruining..
eg, jus recently, tom davidson, this guy was goin 2 b a gun.. last decade, lee walker and a few others.. n before him, the gr8 Darren Millane `RIP`
dont need 2 say 2 much about darren millane.. even in the games he did play, he was a champion.. always will be 4eva.. RIP #42

Hahaha. Im sure he wasn't worth a Nick Stevens and a 2nd round draft pick. Didak is a poor mans milne.

Just quietly I would rather have Didan than Stevens after two years of seeing how they would go.

Didak has easily more upside, and we saw 6 weeks of what he can offer before his ridiculous suspension in round 14.

Stevens is a frontrunning passenger who doesn't man up, he has good skills - but Didak has better skills.

obviously a carlton supporter, lisn DSOF, i would rather have heath scotland at collingwood then stevens, at least scotland is gutsy and goes hard at the ball, stevens is a passenger as some1 said above, he waits outside the packs 2 recieve the ball, i honestly consider stevens as 1 of the biggest pussies in the AFL, seriously, but he does have ball skills which wat got him 2 carlton, definitely not worth didak n u cant compare 2 different players in didak n milne u ID|OT!! they both play differently and didak will show next year, injury-free y he is essential 2 collingwoods future and how he can DOMINATE games in ways milne n stevens would dream of

Haha Didak what a joke. You wouldnt be a little biased would you. If Didak was at Carlton and Stevens at Collingwood it wouldnt change my mind at all. He will never dominate and he is no where near as consistant as Steven and & you know it.

Didak, unlike Stevens, is a proven finals performer.

Didak goal kicking and very accurate kicks inside 50 mean he is a great small forward but I think he will serve us better in the midfield as he can get his own ball and can win one on one and is a brilliant overhead mark for his size. The only thing is whether he would be accountable which shouldn't matter and whether he is good enough in heavy traffic.

Wow, you put him up there with Jesus, Mohammed and Budda.
Buddah: Too skinny for AFL. Had good skills and was mentally balanced, but was far too passive at the contests.

Mohammad: Absolute warrior! Dominated neighbouring cities and started the trend of taking more than one lady out to the Brownlow.

Jesus: Rangey midfielder in the Michael Tuck mould. In fact I think he was Michael Tuck! Not many people know, but the Last Supper was actually the North Melbourne Grand Final breakfast.

True story!
