Yes, this was posted pre-Tournament and they didn’t have a good run as a team.

It does seem to suggest that another year of college ball is a genuine option for him if nominating for the draft doesn’t seem like a good idea yet.

It's standard and means they'll nominate for the draft if a team tells them they'll draft them and give them a contract.

Problem for us is Condon has a third option - and he said it's either back to college or a draft nomination.

I'd certainly hope and expect that if Condon decided to play college basketball for another year that we would immediately cut ties with him. Signing him in the first place was a worthwhile punt, but that would surely be enough for the club to run out of patience! This thread could be closed down, and people could get on with their lives!

I always prefer to see us with two (the maximum number) Cat. B Rookies on our list, and there'd have to be some decent candidates out there (including Irishmen) that we could consider (if the Condon agreement was ended).

Might explain why I heard O'Bree has gone over to Ireland to scout some irish potentials.

Have this argument a lot with mates, personally don't see the point in them. My thoughts:

I hear "They dont take a list spot up" Well after their cat b time is up they do.

Irelands best recognized gaelic player at the time went to geelong, Oisin Mullen, is a vfl quality scrapper.

Not to mention our last two got homesick and legged it, wasting our time (covid I know but still)

How many actually turn out good?

their ceiling is a role player, that can be filled by the thousands playing in our own country.

I liked the mason cox story which may seem hypocritical but we won't ever see another one like him.
