Everything that was done has now been taken back out and that is the end of the Lars.
If the infection goes, there will be a traditional reco done in March which will put him out for the season. I believe the club will support him , whatever happens. It's sad , but that's it and it's no good people sooking about it on here, just think of him. Having said that I reckon Skilts would swap his career for a premiership medal.

He just can't catch a break. Good on the club for giving him every opportunity to get back.

That'll give the young fella and the club time to consider their options...it's actually a very good decision, even if it was the only one!

Great to see him at the club & being proactive. In all honesty I don't know how he's able to take blow after blow again & again. They give us Hodge as a tough courageous man. I raise them (easily) & give them AJ. What a bloody champion.

When you say if the infection goes do you mean in time for football or is there risk it'll never properly resolve for him?

Nothing to do with football, no further work can be carried out until the infection has gone. How else can I explain it.

Had dinner with someone from the swans a few weeks back and asked them "Am I being pessimistic in thinking he wont play again" they basically said that may have been the case a year ago but now is looking more and more realistic.

There are a few guys that should be able to play the game but can't. AJ, Dan Menz & Morabito are all gifted players with sublime and unique skills that they can't use. It's just so frustrating from the fans' point of view - I can only imagine what it would be like for the players themselves.

The thing you've dedicated your life to thus far being just that tiny bit out of reach. You know you can play at that level & deep down you know you can play at that level really well if given a chance... You just never seem to be given that chance. You show tremendous strength & resilience to come back from 1 reco, 2, 3 or 4 though?! That to me shows the true character of the men. Brave, courageous, determined and committed.

I'm sure their presence at each of their respective clubs while the other guys train around them would be a positive. It might give some players that sense of being able to play the game as a gift rather than a right, that can be snatched away in an instant. It would be a lesson in what real persistence, determination and courage looks like... They set an example at the club.

They are as much an important part of the club as those guys that are able to run across the white line each week or those that direct & coach the players IMO. I hope every bloke in rehab, battling their own demons (particularly those that feel they aren't meant to be there) know this.

To overcome that sort of adversity you'd build great strength. Particularly considering how strong hi will is to begin with.

You'll find the football world is small, especially amongst players that go through similar situations.

Players can cut all the club v club bullshit out. (like pendles tweeting about how good the SCG is over ghost town).
