Ok so the start of round 3 and this is gonna come as a bit of a shock perhaps but defence win you titles.

So with the first pick of the 3rd round and the 17th pick of the ALL TIME NBA Draft the Jodzilla Thrillers select...

DWIGHT HOWARD

So you're all probably thinking way too high. But I need a dominant big man in the lane. I need him to play at both ends of the floor. The best C's in the history of the game in Shaq, Wilt, Russell, Olajuwon, Robinson, Kareem and Duncan have all been selected. Leaving just a few left and it came down to Moses, Ewing and Dwight. But what Howard brings that Malone and Ewing didnt was the defence.

Ewing is a great shotblocker and an absolute warrior and Malone was a rebounding freak but neither of them has 3 All Defensive first team selections and neither of them have 3 Defensive Player of the Year awards. One more gives him a share of the record and he will no doubt get one more.

He can score, he is the best big man defender in the game and he is one of the best rebounders, if not the best in the modern game. Absolute beast. With Stockton feeding him the rock and Jordan doing his thing. Were golden.... so, very golden.

Jodzilla Thrillers

C - Dwight Howard
PF -
SF -
SG - Michael Jordan
PG - John Stockton

Next please....

** Oh and note, I dont think Howard is the 17th best player of all time. He just serves what my team needs.

I have been stewing over this pick for a total of 10 minutes. and im fatigued.

i like flexibility, and a winner.

thus with the third selection to UKU, Peter North selects....

MALONE.

M. MALONE.

one of the greatest 50 players to play the game.

A force down low at the 4 or 5 position. He can spell Robbo if need be.

What an asset it is to have someone of his skill set. Another quality defender. Long and lean.

And so it goes on. . .

And again the big men are the best available. And like jod I've chosen from my shortlist based on defense (though this guy is still not a reach imho).

Pick #19

Kevin-Garnett.jpg

Kevin-Garnett.jpg

Yes, it's our favourite punching bag, the intense, Kevin Garnett!

But you can't ignore the beast he is on the defensive and offensive ends of the floor.

24,000+ points @ 50%, 10,000+ defensive rebounds, 3,000+ offensive rebounds, 5,000 assists and 1,900+ blocks. And Counting. :thumbsu:

He can be huge on the defensive end has the range on the offensive end to be able to fit in perfectly at the 4 between Dr J and Kareem.

U Mad, nbaman? :D

So many gifs and youtubes with so little time (:D) so these will do:

In a team full of superstars you need the best second fiddle ever. Defensive monster and could get it done on offense.

I'm taking Scottie Pippen.

C: Bill Russell
PF:
SF: LeBron James
SG: Scottie Pippen

Damn, that was my next pick, I figured it would never last that long.

With their third pick Bitches be ballin select

karl-malone-mailman.jpg

The other Malone known as Karl "The Mailman" Malone because he always delivered. His longevity was amazing and he scored 36,298 points during his career. Second best behind Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Are any of your players this consistent? I don't think so.

karl_malone142.jpg

Malone also had a short stint in Wrestling. Beat that.
DDP_KarlMalone_Mail0021.jpg

Shaq and the Mailman is an incredibly powerful and terrifying back court. Now we just need the playmaker.
The team so far:
PG
SG Jerry West
SF
PF Karl Malone
C Shaquille O'Neal
