All Time World XI player draft.

There was a successful draft thread a few years ago on Bigcricket involving Australian players, where each person takes turns to choose a player from Australian test match history with the intention of creating a final XI.

We'd probably need 6-8 people to start, but could quite easily accommodate 10 considering it's all nations.

In this draft you can choose any player from any nation in test history (past players or current players), providing no one else has chosen them. Then, you can write a brief bio on them and add a picture. At the end, we'll compare teams and see who has the best.

Once we have players locked in, I'll draw the order we select in randomly.

If you wish to participate, just say "I'm in". You'd need to be able to log in once or twice a day to keep things rolling. We'll kick it off when we have enough players....

may or may not get shouted down for this, but i reckon excluding Don Bradman might be a goer.... the difference between first and second pick in this format is huge...

but either way, just throwing it out there

i assume the format would go whoever picks round 1 pick 1, gets round 2 last pick, round 3 pick 1, round 4 last pick, round 5 pick 1 etc,.??

That's probably fair, but complicated. I'm not fussed either way, happy to organise whatever people want. If we do that, I'll order the draft fully before we start.

I'd thought about excluding Bradman too, I think the majority of people who get pick 1 will choose him, but once again, I'm open to either.

Are you in midlandmaster. You have to wait for the draft order to pick mate!
