B: H. Shaw - Brown - Maxwell
HB: Stanley - ?????? - O'Brien
C: Wellingham - Swan - Pendlebury
HF: Didak - Cloke - Thomas
F: Medhurst - Dawes - Anthony
FL: Wood - McCarthy - Clarke

Ben Reid - Looks more like a CHF/HF to me
Tyson Goldsack - Tall HB
Scott Reed - Can anyone tell me if CHB can be his go?
Tobias Thoolen - anyones guess...
Casey-Leigh - Looks like a forward to me

This has to be our aim come season's end - to get a CHB. For me there seems to be some up-side in the middle with: McCarthy, Thomas, Stanley, Clarke, Wellingham, Barham, Swan and Pendlebury.

Ben Reid should be developed for this area.

Nathan Brown should be our CHB. We need a full back IMO.

Defense is not as straight foward as FB CHB anymore as more often now days all fowards venture further out and play that CHF FF dual role. Only true FF I can think of nowdays is Fev.

I think it's more about having the backline to match up on all types of players and we do. Brown has the versatility to play on most number 1 fowards.

Harry O has the athletism to go with the super athletes, some smalls. He also does a good job on lead up CHF's like Riewoldt and Lucas.

Anthony IMO will play on the bigger stronger more stay at home second fowards. Between the 3 of them we have the match ups for most foward structures and thats all you need.

Your missing Rusling.

Rusling will be Anthony and Anthony become your CHB.

And the Sack must be at half back. Plus dont forget our pocket rocket young Dick.

Plus you dont have R Shaw Davis or Fraser in your team but you have Medhurst... all very similar ages.

Anthony and Brown are our KP backs with Goldsack and O'Brien on the 3rd talls. I'd also have Clarke on the HB flank with Stanley in the middle.

Macaffer or Rusling in the forward pocket.

we do his name is ben reid.now we just have to play him there

we are good with defenders. you will find that Anthony and O'Brien will step up and this role in the coming years.

Also there is no reason why Presti cant play for another 3 years, coming into the side when matching up with 2 big forwards. He has been one of our best key position defenders and there is no reason why he cant play for another 2 to 3 years.

john anthony. mick has trained him to be a key back.

keep him in the gym and get wakes and presti to play on and advise him

Agree. He can take a defensive mark (clement), runs straight at the ball and could become a "90m" player off half back with beautiful footskills. Problem ATM is that he is flying up forward. Not a bad prob to have.

John Anthony eventually will go back.

What about Goldie? I know he's light, but if he could ever bulk up I reckon he'd make a great KPB.

At 193cm he's tall enough, and he seems to have those go-go gadget arms like Fletcher (albeit Fletcher is a lot taller) he's agressive at the ball and can create from the backline.

Hit the gym, every spare moment you can Goldie!

YOU CAN DO IT!

I'd like to see Goldsack put another 5-6kg and be able to play on the bigger forwards. Then we would have Brown, Goldsack and Anthony and be able to use O'Brien on the smaller forwards.

It will be interesting to see how we plan to use Goldsack. I also think it would be worth giving him a run midfield/wing during the preseason to see how he goes.
