Well extremely upset that we lost. Obviously if you tackle a person in your own forward line you can't get a free kick!

However, GLASS you were a shining light in a side which admitedly has poor KPP options. I have always worried about his kicking and hence this affecting his confidence in general play. Glass looked like a player today who desrved to be there and not only beat his opponent in the back but had the confidence to run off and create. Well done.
Lynchy is also improving under direct pressure. Would like to see him take more marks ala McPharlin.
Nicokski apart from a blaring mistake also played well under pressure.
Kerr looks like he can now become a goalkicking midfielder as well as having great defensive qualities.

I would like to see Carrol play FF like they tried to play Hunter there. Good on the coaching staff for having a go at this. From memories I think Hunter contested two and brought it to ground where we had a chance to kick goals.

We lost because IMO due to Braun and mainly Fletchers inability to hit a target especially on a turnover. I'm not saying that these two boys didn't play good. I'm saying that in general their disposal was costly.
This is why we lost to Carlton and earlier in my posts I mentioned a similar line as to our backline not being able to hit a target with handball under pressure. Once again I believe that Kasey Green needs to learn how to hit a handball target.
Anyway bring on the Dees and maybe a differnt FF option

i think we lost it because we didnt have a go-to man in the 50 who could take contested marks. i remember one passage of play in the 3rd quarter were we got a turnover and fletcher was streaming through the middle with little pressure, and there was no one for him to kick it to. he ended up kicking to an out of position matera who got outmarked. that just typified it for me.

but i agree, there were some positives. glass was very good, gasper although he didnt do much will be better for the run and sampi's form was also good early considering a sprained wrist.
